Ha, that wasn’t a stretch, if Reiki is the Holy Spirit, and you are a reiki master, you have in effect claimed to have mastered the Holy Spirit.

I understand the thought behind it perfectly, most likely a lot better than you do so please, don’t assume that this comes from a lack of knowledge on the subject. I don’t agree with torture for any reason, I do however agree with educating the ignorant. I get your drift, please don’t accuse me of desiring to burn misguided individuals.

Please, address the other points I raised.

God Bless

Peter
Peter based on 2 John 1:10 we can not bless him.

Mike, no one wants you to burn in Hell, or to burn you on earth. ( Eze 18 end of chapter ). We desire to see you Repent of your sins, and your wife to repent of this evil, yes it is evil because it is sending your wife to hell. ( Matthew 7:22-23 ).

Matthew 7:22-23 (King James Version)

**Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.**

Even if Reiki healing works on the body and soul as the reiki site claims. It is still sending people to HELL, eternal punishment ( Matt 25:46 ) – in that way it is evil.

Satan is turning simple things into religions so that poeple will shut them out and close out the poeple who practice them. And the poeple that are practicing them that beleive it is a religion are being sold to hell becuase they arent keeping their focus on God as they should. They are focusing instead on their own power whne they should be asking God to supply it. God is getting none of the glory for his works when that happens, and he shall share his glory with no one. So whether you receive the gift from God or heal in his name by learning to focus on it through reiki teachings, all the credit must be given to God, becuase it was Him who allowed it to happen.

Satan also seems to have a knack for preying of the sensitivities of others. People who want to heal but aren’t dedicated enough to train in legitimate medicine or don’t have the level of faith required to heal spiritually (few truly do). Satan has given those people supposed power on this earth, and an easier way to get it.

You can’t say that just becuase someone doesn’t have the ability to heal through the Holy Spirit means that they don’t have the level of Faith to do it. God works through the humble as well those don’t even beleive that they can heal until they lay hands on the sick, even by accident, and have them be healed.

Being filled with the Spirit makes you humble. You must have faith to heal.

Healing with the Spirit is NOT an ability. It does not require you at all, God can heal all on His own, you are blessed enough to be a vessel in that healing, some people don’t feel thats enough, they want to learn to channel God’s power through a false teacher.

While that may be true. If something is specifically warned against in the Bible, which sorcery is, numerous times, then whether we adhere to sola scriptura or not we must avoid it.
Who says it’s sorcery? If you do, then that is purely your opinion.

But are they Christian? The Lord did not promise healing powers to Christians and whoever else feels like joining in and getting attuned.
Many who practice Reiki are Christians, and if they aren’t, you don’t think God relates to non-Christians? I hope you are not saying that!

No they are NOT guardian angels, they are in fact demons.

In fact, it appears the site talking about “spirit guides” is the same one that set up that deceptive christian reiki site.

The fact that the reiki site is devoid of the MOST basic Christian doctrines like,

Read the book of First John it was written aganist the gnostics of his time because their doctrine is contray to that of the apostles themselves.
The fact that you feel spirit guides are demons is strictly your opinion. You have zero proof.

Deceptive Christian Reiki site? Again, proof?

Teaching false doctrine on these forums for starters.
Oh for heaven sakes! I am not teaching false doctrine to anybody. You are being severely over dramatic and ridiculous.

I was simply responding to the OP about Reiki and what I knew about it and that it can be helpful. Many Christians, even Catholics practice it. IMO, it does not come from the devil, in fact I provided a Christian Reiki website that explains scripture references for using it. Just because you don’t like what it says, doesn’t mean it’s not legitimate.

BTW, my wife and do not worship false gods and I resent you even implying it. Shame on you!

I’m sure there are some unscrupulous people out there who practice Reiki and claim any healing power they may have comes from a different source other than God. I certainly don’t approve of them, but anybody who claims that God and Jesus is behind any healing talent they may have, have not sinned in my mind. How could they?

BTW, I don’t practice Reiki, but I have seen nothing evil with it, only good. However, I will defend my wife from narrow-minded and aggressive attacks such as came from you.

God can work in many mysterious ways. Open your mind a little bit.

Amen, his gnositic doctrine will land him in hell, eternal punishment Matt 25:46. He is blind to sin, blind to the real Jesus Christ, blind to the true gospel. The Reiki religon, site teaches thing contray to the Bible – I have shown this with the googles in above posts.

2 Corinthians 4:4
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Geez! You are amazing! I and my wife are not practicing a gnostic doctrine. I am Christian and Catholic and to challenge otherwise I believe is against forum rules.

You are being very judgmental, something I believe God has jurisdiction of, not you. Sounds somebody else may need to do a little repenting.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I think you’re overdoing it and I’m getting a little tired of it.

Many who practice Reiki are Christians, and if they aren’t, you don’t think God relates to non-Christians? I hope you are not saying that!
Don’t put words into my mouth. I merely said that the healing powers were promised to the Disciples of Christ, not the Bhramins, not the Buddhists, not the Shinto etc.

Again Jesus himself says, many of those working miracles in his name will be sent to Hell.

Matthew 7:22-23 quoted often enough in above posts.
Try 1 Corinthians 12:9. I suppose we good trade Scripture references all night. Who is to say Reiki healing does not come from the one spirit, as long as you acknowledge it? Who are you to say that my wife hasn’t been blessed with a gift?

I’ll help you, you don’t know.

Again, you are assuming yourself and God are in agreement here. Very big assumption and very dangerous on your part. You are judging me and my wife, which you have no right to do. You may have some explaining to do your self when you finally face the Almighty. Be careful.

I’m going to make the assumption that you are preaching to me with my best interests at heart. If that is so, then I do appreciate your over zealous concern. However, I am content with my relationship with God, not that it doesn’t need work from time to time. My wife feels the same way. If she thought Reiki was evil and came from Satan, I can guarantee she would not practice it.

No argument!! 👍

Sorry, I think your scope is too narrow. I believe God relates to all people in one way or another.

My scope is the Catholic Church. I believe in it. I believe in Christ’s promises. Most of my friends are non Catholic from Dharmic/Vedic faiths (native dharmics, not upper middle class white kids trying to find ‘‘culture’’). I enjoy learning about their faith, and I know quite a bit about most religions and belief systems. I believe God can communicate with anyone regardless of their faith, however I don’t adhere to this pantheistic foolishness that basically says ‘‘Oh it doesn’t matter what you believe, Christ will give you the power to work miracles to glorify whichever deity you worship’’.

I don’t adhere to that either. All things come from God.

Keep in mind however, there is so much more to God than you and I will ever know (until we dwell with him someday).
