I’ve heard him twice. Any here who follow his ministry, and know if it has the ‘works’ of grace – to support him as a true shepherd ?

Benny is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I’d stay away from him. He used to be Catholic, from what I understand, and schismed from the Church. That means he has at least one, if not more, heresies in his beliefs.

Many years back I was shown a video tape about this man who when he raised his hands people started to fall like pack of cards. It was rather funny to me but what struck me was, I was sure, a pretty expensive watch on his hand.

The last I heard he did fall from grace. What irony. But I don’t have the full picture and I don’t mind to know if someone have more information about him.

Benny Hinn has a lot right. But he preaches Word of Faith doctrine and practices showy use of the charismata on stage, which, even though I’m Pentecostal, doesn’t feel right to me at all. It seems to be glorifying himself rather than Jesus. Personally, I would not attend one of his meetings or send him money.

I have a little Sheltie now and gave him to my daughter. She calls him Henri.

He has quite a personality, and I made up this name and called him Hennie Benn. My neighbor heard me calling out for him, and he asked me, ‘What did you call that dog???’

Now I realize where I derived it.

Does Hinn teach the Truth? No he does not. He gets rich by lying to poor people and stealing their money in return for promised miracles, healings, financial blessings, and “anointing” (whatever the heck that is). None of these promises have ever come true.

Civilly, he is a charlatan and a huckster. Spiritually, he is a heretic.

Avoid this man. There is a lot of good sold Biblical teaching out there, he, sorry to say is not in that group.

Benjamin is an experienced stage hypnotist
preying on those who are suggestible :hypno:

Shepherd of what?
And why do you ask about a televangelist even most evangelicals reject?

Well the responses are overwhelmingly negative 10 nays / 0 yeas.

I do occasionally watch the TBN protestant evangelicals … to keep in touch with what they are preaching. Saw him recently, being interviewed by Paul Crouch. He had Paul speechless, and wondering what he was hearing … when Benny claimed to have been visited by angels, and to of heard audible messages from H.S.

He was a real showman, very entertaining, but overly dramatic. He did offer up a sincere Sinnner’s Prayer at the conclusion of program … that had all making private confessions, and interior decisions for repentance. I came away thinking he can bring about much good for his testimony to Christ, yet worried he may be in it for vainglory he receives from the control he can exert over the flock.

Nevertheless, I wish to give him the benefit of doubt … recalling that the apostles once came to Christ worried about others that were preaching Christ ---- that were not part of their group. Christ told them not to be concerned, … that anyone preaching Christ and his H.S. were doing good for the Kingdom.

Mark 9:38-40 John said to him, “Teacher, we saw a man casting out demons in you name, and we forbade him, because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him; for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon after to speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is for us.”

Benney Hinn is a phony-baloney of the highest kind. He makes all kinds of wild predictions that have never happened and he and his ministry have been plagued by lawsuits/counter lawsuits for years. If he was a true healer of the sick, millions would be cured and hospitals would be out of business. Better to put our faith in the One, True, Church of Jesus Christ.

And to think…he turned his back on the sweet Orthodox vestments for that junk. 😃
