Does God call people to be separate from Catholic Eucharist

Yes. I don’t mind events which support a common faith in Jesus.

I am not afraid of my children being exposed to certain things. As long as there are not criticisms of the faith.

The non-denom camp I went on a few years back had some “pretty funny things going on” but they didn’t even know anything about Catholics to even start a conversation. They were actually bashing Luther (no idea who Calvin is).

Not really a feeling, it was different to anything I’ve experienced. I didn’t see anything but it was understanding beyond language, almost out of body. Never felt anything like it before but it’s led me to some of the best spiritual experiences I’ve had.

I don’t tend to call God just a spirit. I’d accept holy spirit. But when folks say just spirit it doesn’t tend to have the same meaning. And I suspect you know that and do it on purpose.

The description basically amounts to you encountering a spirit, yes. And of course I am sceptical. Scripture tells us to test spirits.

Especially ones who claim the bible cannot be trusted.

It’s all about YOU and what YOU feel. That’s the most inaccurate, if not false, ways to gauge spiritual matters.

Some People like to Confess to God instead of a Priest. They rationalize it by saying, “God’s everywhere, why do I need to tell a Priest?” Well, complex Theology aside, it keeps you from making God into YOUR Image. In short, the Church holds us accountable and keeps us honest.

Catholic spirituality and mysticism is full of such feelings of consolation and even advance things such as ecstasies and contemplation. But these require much abandonment of the will and all sorts of virtues.

Ancient Greek is a dead language last I knew. And one that grew after the time that was originally penned. So I’m afraid all we can do is translate it.
