But that don’t have native speakers.
I’ve told you already, no, I don’t. My example was that some translations of Matt. 19:9 use adultery for the Greek term porneia. That is a misunderstanding of the passage. So, you think all translations are reliable? Because again, and I don’t know how you don’t get this, that’s what I said.
I disagree. What did Jesus say to Peter, when Peter answered Him, “I say you are the Christ, Son of the living God” ???All of your opinions are based on human understanding; unless you don’t think you’re human…?
Cool, so you have the same view as me; not all translations we reliable.Alex337:![]()

So you don’t understand that passage? Because if you do, and you are human, then your understanding is a human understanding.I disagree. I don’t think many people would disagree with that. It’s your conclusion that we cannot rely on Scripture, since some translations have faults that Christianity disagrees with you. And you even stated that St Paul himself was fallible when writing 1 Corinthians!Cool, so you have the same view as me; not all translations are reliable.
What did Jesus say to Peter? So you don’t understand that passage? Because if you do, and you are human, then your understanding is a human understanding.
Oh, you only rely on the Bible to inform your understanding? I thought you didn’t…Alex337:![]()

Something I can only understand with human understanding. What did Jesus say to Peter? So you don’t understand that passage? Because if you do, and you are human, then your understanding is a human understanding.
Are you having trouble saying it?rcwitness:![]()

Cool, I am indeed glad that God gave me a revelationI’ll quote it for you, since it might make you melt just writing it down…
Matthew 16
And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
So, again as you seem allergic, did you understand it?Peter understood it, and it was not from his own reasoning, but from the Father.
And then a little later, Peter tried to prevent Jesus from doing God’s will. Jesus rebuked him for thinking as a man, and not as God thinks.
