I think he feels lonely as he says. But I can’t figure out why He is very smart and very handsome. I pay all his bills, he doesn’t need to worry about anything. I only do this while he is in school. They are only cell phone and car insurance. (Okay, and credit card). But he is not functioning well. I feel it is the medication and trying to speak to his doctor. I don’t think he needs anything really. It’s gotten to be a domino effect. I tell him God is always with him, but his answer is always the same. “Then, where is He”?As a young man around the same age of your son i can somewhat identify. Your son may be going through a transition phase if he is starting college. During this time there is a bit of anxiety about the uncertainty about his future. This can often lead to depression. When you talk to him, does he often talk about his career choice or school, or does he shy away from the subject? Maybe he does not like the particular field he will be studying. Maybe he is anxious about leaving home or not leaving home. Also that age in life seems to be the onset of mental disease. It is important to try to get him to trust in God in hard times. If he is not particularly religious don’t force him to be, but be there for him regardless. And the day he seems interested in God show him. Be there for him cause he needs your support.
