I believe The Roman Catholic Church because It is Infallible.

We can disagree depending on what it is. For instance certain speculative theological ideas, or prudential things, or liturgical ideas, are all open to disagreement and debates. Moral theology, dogmatic statements, etc, are not open for debate.

Do you mean the Catholic Church? There is no “Roman” Catholic Church. The Eastern Catholics, by the way, are 100% Catholic, same as the Latins.

Do you believe God gives Catholics the right to disagree with the Roman Catholic Church?

Isn’t this similar to the same bunch of vandalism posts we had last week about “Infallible Dogma”?

If you’re the same person under a new account, you are trolling and violating the forum TOS.

Disagree with what? Dogma? How a church is decorated? The private opinion of a Cardinal?

That’s because the poll is overly simplistic and doesn’t take into account the fallibility and infallibility of certain teachings.

Some people seem to think so. Still doesn’t answer my question.

The Roman Catholic Church is Infallible.

The Catholic Church is established by Jesus Christ. So I guess the question should be: Does God give Catholics the right to disagree with his Son?
Of course. It’s called free will.

So long as we’re talking about the general teachings of the Church, yes. That’s such a vague and inconsequential statement, though. Why ask?

Let’s put it this way. God gave Adam and Eve freedom in the garden. Till today, we still want to eat the forbidden fruit. This is nothing to brag about.

A more interesting question would be why we would turn down friendship with God.

The majority of people turn down friendship with God because they are in Mortal Sin against the Roman Catholic Church.

Do you believe God gives Catholics the right to disagree with the Roman Catholic Church?
I think so, at least in some cases such as whether or not it is right to burn a person to death at the stake for heresy or witchcraft. Personally, I would be opposed to that as I think it is quite cruel. Why not have a decent discussion with the heretic or witch and try to understand their opinion instead of burning them alive?
