Does God the Father hear the prayers of Muslims?

In my opinion, I think God hears the prayers of Allah, only He’s shaking His head. He hears the prayers but doesn’t respond. You must believe in Jesus christ, and the Holy Spirit if you want to be saved. Muslims know Jesus, yet refuse to follow Him. It’s not that they never heard of Him, they simply choose to ignore Him.
It is different for someone living in the bushes in South America, who never heard a word about Jesus. I believe that man will be saved. But to know Jesus yet ignore…better to pluck out your eye than to not believe in Christ.

Is this Islamic “Allah” the God of the Bible? Will you pray to Islam’s Allah to protect your family?
I won’t pray to Islam’s allah, but I would pray to the Father, Ab’banna (Arabic for ‘our father’), waalidee (Arabic for my dad), and address Him as Allah when I pray. Allah is just the Arabic word for God.

I don’t really agree that the God of the Bible and the God of the Qur’aan are two different entities…there’s only One God, but I do firmly and deeply place my faith in the message God gives through the Bible via Christ as opposed to the message of Muhammad in the Qur’aan. The difference is that the Bible and the message it carries came directly from the very mouth of God (Christ), whereas the Qur’aan is a side approach. Muhammed took what he had heard about the God of the Hebrews and Christians and mixed it to what suited his tastes. The “final prophet” for me is Jesus. The only prophet is Jesus, and His Father…Our Father is Allah, God, YHWH, El Shaddai, Elohim, ect.

Muslims worship the Lord of the Day of Judgment and we do indeed state this at least 17 times every day in our prayers.

If Christians and Jews pray to the Lord of the Day of Judgment, then they worship the same God as Muslims.

Then I guess I have more in common with you than I suspected. The only discrepancy arises in who follows the full revelation of God to man, which, in my opinion, I do, but I know you’d say the exact same thing. I’ll pray for you. Please pray for me. Salaam

This is a most profound statement I have seen from a Muslim!
I am speechless!
But I will think of something.🙂

They come to Him a lot, but they address Him only as Allah. I was just curious as to whether or not others here believe if God the Father (at whom their prayers are directed) hears them or not.
God our Father looks on the heart and responds as to each individual as He even did froom when He called out to Adam first and then on down to many prophets, it is not ours to judge.🙂
He looks and hears our petitions and and deems what is necessary.
Blessings

God does not answer the prayers of people who put other god’s before Him. This is what Muslim’s do 5 times a day. What many of you need to realize is that allah is not God. Allah is the false god and muhammed is the false prophet of the false and evil religion Islam. Islam is counterfeit christianity.

However, God will give Muslim’s blood to drink and will give them over to the plagues that they deserve for not repenting of their abominations.

Appendix Eleven:

The Islamic Call to Prayer

The Muslim is called to prayer five times a day. The call to prayer is heard at dawn, at the midday, about the middle of the afternoon, just after sunset, and at night fall about two hours after sunset.

The muezzin, a man appointed to call to prayer, climbs the mineret of the mosque, and he calls in all directions, “Hasten to prayer.” Many mosques no longer require the muezzin to climb the mineret. Instead, a loud speaker carries the message.

Responding to this call on Friday afternoon, praying in the mosque, and making the pledge to Allah, is the only thing need to become a Muslim. At this point one crosses over from Dar ul Harb, the house of the pagan, into Dar ul Islam, the house of Islam (submission). The slave can no longer be beaten carelessly, and the Coptic Christian must hereafter be given work and treated with respect.

This is a very simple, faithless, and almost mindless exercise. The emphasis is on not making a verbal mistake rather than on believing something. If the Muslim makes an error in the word sequence of prayer in the mosque, he will at once rise and quietly exit in shame.

The prayer carpet is carried by the Muslim when he travels abroad. At the times of prayer, he will determine the direction of Mecca, roll out his prayer carpet, and say his prayers to Allah.

I last heard the Islamic call to prayer at Vernon and Dix on the south side of Dearborn, Michigan at noon. This was the point in time when Jehovah God spoke to my soul of His deep love to Muslims. The call of Jehovah is the call of a God who wants to talk to his children from His Word, the Bible. The vain repetition of the Islamic prayer ritual is replaced by a daily experience of hearing the voice of God in one’s soul.

ATHAN or AZAN
The Call to Prayer

Allah is defined as the ONE who ALONE, without partners or helpers created all that IS created in creation, either known or unknown.

1 Allah u Akbar, Allah u Akbar
– Allah is Great, Allah is Great

2-Ash-hadu al-la Ilaha ill Allah - Ash-hadu al-la Ilaha ill Allah
– I bear witness that there is no divinty but Allah

3 Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullaah
– I bear witness that Muhammad is Allah’s Messenger

Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullaah.
– I bear witness that Muhammad is Allah’s Messenger

4 Hayya la-s-saleah - Hayya la-s-saleah
– Hasten to the prayer, Hasten to the prayer

5 Hayya la-l-faleah - Hayya la-l-faleah
– Hasten to real success, Hasten to real success,

6 Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
– Allah is Great, Allah is Great

7 La Ilaha ill Allah
– There is no divinity but Allah

Adhan is now completed.

Agreed, God looks at us on the inside…God “sees” and “hears” beyond “sight” and “words”. We claim to believe that the Love of God was shown best in Jesus of Nazareth…and His will is to draw all men to Himself…God has taken on the role of “Lover” and sees each of us as His “beloved”…a beloved of infinite worth…so much so that He entered into our mortality to display how deep and broad His love is for us…He will meet each of us where we are…He turns none of us away if we approach with open humble hearts…and no “Christian” can look into the heart of a Muslim to determine how sincere and humble they are…it is God who looks into the mind, heart and soul…

Will I pray to Allah as defined by Islam?
Why not? What I’m reading on this thread is that Allah (as defined by Islam) and the God of the Bible are the same God. A God of judgment.
No, never. Will I pray to the universal God, Lord of all, named Allah by some and worshipped imperfectly by the Muslim people (and most Christians)? Every day.
And will you address this “universal God” by the name of Allah? Will you ask “Allah” by name to protect your family?
Is Allah as described in the Qur’an a correct depiction of the Lord?
A totally different description yet the same “universal God.” The same Lord. Strange indeed. If I described you differently from who you actually are, would I be describing you?
No. Does that negate the sincerity with which Muslims pray to the only God there is? No.
What does sincerity have to do with it? By their description are they truly praying to the only God there is?

The Apostle Paul describes another god who blinds the minds of the unbelieving:2 Cor 4:4 "…in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God…
In answer to the original question. Of course God hears their prayers, He hears, sees and knows everything.
The question wasn’t if God is omniscient.

Are you trusting your family to Allah? Are you trusting your salvation to Allah? As at least one Catholic has suggested in writing, for the sake of unity should all of Christianity address the God of the Bible as Allah?
God Bless
Why don’t you start ending your messages with “Allah bless?”

Allah just means God. It’s like, Jehovah’s Witnesses saying Jehovah is the only real God, or Messianic Jews insisting on Yeshua.

But Muslims should learn more about Jesus since he is the High Priest who takes prayers to God.

I think God is tolerant of people who have honest doubts about Jesus since Jesus has been made so mysterious and hard to understand, and as idolatry to many.
If Muslims don’t mind Christians using the word Allah to describe Christ our Lord and God than I don’t have a problem with it. A lot of Christians use the Arabic term Allah to describe God.

Moondweller, trying to spearate out the quotes was too confusing for me, so I’ll adress some points here.

I do not speak Arabic, I see no reason to address God by the title Allah. Were I Arabic, or living in an Islamic country I would probably pray to God and call upon Him as Allah.

Bear in mind the Catholics in Malta (one of the strongest Catholic nations in Europe) call God Alla, which comes from which language?

Your use of italics when writing universal indicates you have a problem with me referring to God as universal. Isn’t He?

With regard to describing me. You have never met me. You will be relying on the testimony of those who have. Say someone told you I was a tall Swedish blonde with one arm, and another that I was a short Tibetan with a hairlip, and another that I was a tubby Irish kid living in London. Even if you picked the wrong one you are still attempting to describe me. In your mind, and the people you describe ‘‘me’’ to, that is me. Only one is right but is anyone to blame for believing the misinformation? Again there is only one ‘‘me’’ so even if the information is wrong, in everyones mind it is quite clear who you are describing.

May Allah Bless you.

Peter

If not a single bird falls dead that the Lord our God does not know it, how can He not hear ALL that goes on in this world.

What He chooses to do from there is known only to Him.

They come to Him a lot, but they address Him only as Allah. I was just curious as to whether or not others here believe if God the Father (at whom their prayers are directed) hears them or not.
What, you think He might be hard of hearing or something? 😛

Islam states that Allah has no son. The God of the Bible, however, does. How is it then that Allah can be the same God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (even Ishmael)?

Allah IS the name of the god of Islam.
There’s a good article on this in the “This Rock” section of this website. I found it by searching for “Christianity and Islam worship same God.” They do, by the way. Catechism says as much.

"Universal" would imply He’s, ultimately, the God of all religions and of all religious men. Is He? Keep in mind that prior to Mohammadanism the tribes in Arabia were polytheistic not monotheistic. Monotheism was not in their culture or vocabulary. “Allah’s” name and history is embedded in the polytheistic, religious system of those Arabian tribes.

Mohammad did not bring to them the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (the God of the Jewish Apostles), but he chose from the tribe of his father their chief god and presented him to them as “Allah,” calling him “greater.” And corrupting the Scriptures he made him (Allah) the god of Ishmael, their ancestor. Hence, Allah is not the God of Jacob, the God of the Jews (read the words of Jesus in Jn. 4:22), but his own version of the god Ishmael.

Mohammad created the ultimate replacement theology by replacing the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob with his own. He certainly can be credited with forcing upon those tribes in Arabia monotheism, but not with the one true God of the Bible. That One he rejected.

Yes, and I rely on the testimony of the Scriptures to describe the God of my salvation. This God Islam has rejected.

Modern Catholicism (along with forms of Protestantism) is walking down the road of “universalism,” which is a dangerous road leading to the destruction of historic Christianity. But of course the Scriptures themselves tell of a coming apostasy in the latter days.
May Allah Bless you.
May he not.

I know it does. That’s the problem!

God sees the hearts of all who pray. Those who don’t know the Creator as he revealed himself thru Jesus have an incomplete understanding of him. But when they praise him for his creation, thank him for his blessings, ask him to take care of their families, ask forgiveness for sins, surely he hears them and looks on them with love.

Then are Christ’s words meaningless when He said:John 14:6 "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."Does God forgive sins just by a man requesting it of Him through prayer?Acts 10:43 “Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name (Jesus Christ) everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.”

Acts 13:38 "Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him (Jesus Christ) ** forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you**,

Col 1:14 "…in whom (Jesus Christ) we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.Does God forgive sins apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ? Not according to the Scriptures. But rather it’s because of faith in Christ that God forgives sins.

Does a Muslim believe his sins are forgiven through the sacrificial death of the incarnate Son? Does a Muslim even believe “Allah” has a Son? No! Are the Son’s words meaningless when He says:John 14:13 "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.Does Islam pray in the name of the Son if Islam declares that “Allah” has no Son?

But in Romans doesn’t Paul say that the gentiles (non-jews, non-christians) are judged by the law of God in their hearts? Islam is really such an anti-Christian religion that the mind set of someone brought up Muslim would almost make it impossible to know Jesus, especially since He cannot be preached in Muslim countries. If a Muslim loves God and his neighbor but doesn’t know Jesus, doesn’t Jesus still look on him with love?

No, because the Muslims already know about Jesus and choose to neglect Him. It is different if living in the bushes in South America not knowing the name Jesus, that man will be saved. But Muslim know Jesus and choose to turn the other way.
