I suppose that people only post about things when they are problematic. However, I wonder if anyone has actually used NFP successfully for child spacing. You wouldn’t think it’s possible from reading this board!
The reason I even started using NFP was because of this boardI suppose that people only post about things when they are problematic. However, I wonder if anyone has actually used NFP successfully for child spacing. You wouldn’t think it’s possible from reading this board!
That would me, I’ve used it to avoid pregnancy for 12 years now. There are several here that do. I know of at least one that does NFP successfully due to a heart issue. If she were to get pregnant, she may very easily die.
I know there are a ton more. (including me)74 cycle charter here.

I concur and I love hearing the testimonials from people saying it actually works for them.. . . . . You wouldn’t think it’s possible from reading this board!
I have been using the sympto-thermal method. I like it because there are 3 reference points that you can check. Temperature, cervical mucous and cervical position. The temperature is good for checking when ovulation has already taken place, the mucous is good for checking if it has fertile quality, and if the mucous is questionable, the position of the cervix will confirm fertile quality for you.I was wondering if posters who answer this thread could state the method they are usingI’ve been charting Creighton for about a year and a half now (originally because of a possible health problem) but now I’m also learning it since I’m getting married in December 2009. My cycles are really hard to interpret, so I’m hoping to find a method that might work better for me after I’m married. Thanks!
I also use the Sympto-Thermal method… and this is a perfect description!I have been using the sympto-thermal method. I like it because there are 3 reference points that you can check. Sympto-Thermal for us! But I must say I place a lot more emphasis on my cervical and mucous checks than I do my temperatures. But I DO temp.I was wondering if posters who answer this thread could state the method they are usingI’ve been charting Creighton for about a year and a half now (originally because of a possible health problem) but now I’m also learning it since I’m getting married in December 2009. I agree. Its like the term “pregnancy scare”. It just sounds so negative to me… Anyways, that is so sad! I can’t believe someone would not be thrilled with a second grandchild, even if they did not have Catholic views on life!I prefer “bonus baby” to “oopsie”/“oops”
Babies are never an “oops”
On the same note- a good friend of mine and his wife just found out that they have a bonus baby on the way! Please pray for them, as their parents are not too thrilled with the idea of second grandchild.
