You mean baptism is a work, kind of like the works of the Mosaic law that one did simply because it was the law? Baptism is some sort of arbitrary activity Jesus tells us to do for some reason or other? Perhaps simply to see if we will do it?baptism is a response to one’s faith in obedience to God’s word.
I’m not sure if this has been brought up already (kind of an old thread and my mind doesn’t stay on track very long…), but Moses certainly saved Israel on Mt. Sinai (after “Calf-Gate”) when he interceded on behalf of the people.Of course not, but I need help! I can’t find where Paul says he saves souls (in a secondary sense, of course)

I read the Bible and Study it- still can’t come to the same conclusions as you. Imagine that!above is a clear example as to why people need to read the Bible for their is only one Salvation and only one way, one truth and one life that leads to the father.
