I would like to challenge the common good judgements with most of the posts here on this topic

In the Gospel of Matthew he begins in the first chapter by giving the geneology of Jesus can someone tell me why he did that?

Hint how many women are named in that geneology?

then perhaps we need to teach the youngsters some morals & values!
Okay, I am uninformed about this topic. Isn’t an abstinence message included in most sex education classes?
Not unless it’s mandatory in the school system. Sadly.
Anyways, I could go on and on, but seriously, why is it so hard for people to understand that premarital sex simply creates a foundation that supports a lifestyle of unhappiness? Maybe if people wanted a purely pagan lifestyle where you choose a partner and have kids…but this method of screwing the girl over by pumping her full of artificial hormones and sending her into a panic attack at the idea of a baby is just stupid.
Yep. But all we have to do is look around at society and see that sex is promoted; TV shows, adverts, print, radio, internet, etc. etc. The glamor and pleasure of sex is pushed, but not the consequenses are not discussed. No wonder why so may buy into the myth.

 What are you getting at?

Matthew’s genealogy is a “Jewish perspective on the ancestors of Joseph” and Luke’s a " A Greek perspective on the ancestors of Mary". That’s the reason. Shouldn’t this question be in Scripture Apologetics? 😉 It’s not a commentary on the reputation of the women named therein.

We are all, or should be familiar with the Mystical Body of Christ. We are each a body part with different functions. Sin is an infection of that body party. Pre-marital sex, is that infection of sin. With Christ as the head of the body, this sin, any sin, is incompatibility at its utmost.

Nope, our (in my town) public schools do not teach it.
But darn-it if the kids dont know how to put a condom on a banana:eek:
What? Like it’s hard? It seems pretty simple to me, Is there some special method that makes it uber complicated or something? It’s like putting an object inside of a balloon kinda…right? although, I have a feeling that a banana is actually more disimilar to the organ it represents. not to go into any graphic details.

No way. Cheapening an act which should be sacred between spouses, promoting mortal sin, spreading STDs, bringing unwanted children into the world or aborting them, and opening one’s self up to deep heartache and hurt…what on earth could any of that do to serve the common good???
