Does Satan want our world to endure, or does he wish to destroy it?

Still does not address my main question, but I believe what you say is true and profound. People perceive reality based on common beliefs, but fail miserably when it comes to the deep lies and deceit of Satan within the secular world.

I believe that Satan does want to destroy souls. I think he is very evident in the world today and what people are tempted by - too many things, sex, envy, gluttony, (all the deadly sins). I don’t think Satan wants to destroy the world, he wants to rule the world. Godly people need to put on their armor of God to fight against the powers of evil

"Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

What about Satan using the mass media to covertly control us? And what about the covert lies and deceit of government? Do you really believe that we live in a true democracy?

I think Satan uses whatever means he can easily manipulate people on earth into his evil ways. Yes I do think we are being lied to by the media and the government. The trouble is, that people who are under Satan’s power don’t know it, or at least don’t want to know it. It’s only after one becomes born again through Jesus that he/she starts understanding and repenting of sins. When one is under the spell of Satan, he/she tries to rationalize everything, laughs at morality, touts moral relativism and insists there will be no afterlife.

That’s what I think too. But what about Satan’s influence over the world? Does he influence us covertly through the mass media and world governments? Are the entertainment industry and media sources of national security in the eyes of Satan? Is the world under the spell of Satan?

I think he influences people through whatever weakess he can find. For alot of people that’s probably through entertainment and media. However, God can use those things as well and frequently does. So I wouldn’t say that Satan owns those things.
