Does Starbucks support Planned Parenthood?

I’ve requested & received this boycott list (a few yrs ago). It’s a little challenging to keep track of, but if one is totally committed to being pro-life, I suppose it’s not a big sacrifice.

I’ve never liked Starbucks, and have become a big fan of Mystic Monk Coffee (Ethiopian roast, which is a fair trade product). Plus, the purchase helps the monks with their monastery, so it’s a two-fer! My local Catholic bookstore carries it.

But here’s MY problem – (I think) Frito- Lay is on this list (will have to verify this). DH likes to buy Scoops chips. They are the only kind out there like it. I won’t eat them, since they are a Frito-Lay product. So how culpable does that make me? I’m not losing any sleep over it, just posing a question.

God bless – Happy New Year!!

Mimi

Happy Belated Thanksgiving to all.Hope this isn’t a repeat thread.Does anyone know for a fact that Starbucks directly contributes money to Planned Parenthood, other pro abortion organizations or political parties? If so how can one find out this info? One of my children is currently employed at Starbucks. We all ready know about the CD,s and other anti Catholic/christian stuff. I figure where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Thanks and God Bless to you and yours.
Starbucks is listed on the Planned Parenthood website as a contributor.

I am surprised that this question is still out there! My husband has worked for Starbucks and this article from 2005 has been responded to by the president of Starbucks, leading to company policy that all employees will sign a statement that they will not use the company name for any fundraising or support of any agendas/events.

There are alot of rumors out there about things done by companies and I have learned to take news with a grain of salt. We have to be careful what we spread!

I never liked Starbucks and I never will. Now that it’s been confirmed they support planned parent hood I have more reason not to like them. I prefer Dunkin Donuts Coffee. It tastes better, costs less, and they make it to your specification. Unlike Starbucks that gives you a cup of overpriced black coffee and tells you to work it out for youself. Then again I guess Starbucks’ customers like being abused. So supporting planned parenthood is very easy for them to do. How else do you justify $5.00 for a lousy cup of coffee. And if I find out Dunkin Donuts supports planned parenthood I’ll stop going there too. I’ll either start buying Mystic Monk’s Coffee or I’ll just quit drinking coffee altogether.

I would like to know where y’all are getting that info that confirmation has been made that Starbucks supports Planned Parenthood. I spent alot of time researching sources and have not found their name on any list either from PP or any other site currently. Does anyone have the current contributor list from Life Decisions?

Sounds like some are just angry about the cost of coffee at the Starbucks stores, and you don’t have to buy there. Some of their drinks are up there in price, but it is possible not to spend as much for reg coffee. They have every right to set prices as they see fit as any business does according to what the market will bear.

I have read the articles on Starbucks support and all I have ever seen is that employees have been cited as attending the gay parade and no mention of corporate support. Employees are free to support whatever they want. Now though, they are not to use the company name in any of those activities.

Please explain how this prevents Starbucks from contributing to PP???

matching gift companies

Starbucks is listed as a contributor to PP on the above website.

If you need another reason to boycott Starbucks, I will give you one.

Seattle City Council voted 7-0 to boycott Arizona over the SB1070 immigration law. Now Starbucks headquarters is in Seattle. Cities that boycott Arizona should expect a reciprocal boycott of businesses in their cities.

I agree that I either need to boycott any and all places that support PP either directly or indirectly, or not call myself Pro-Life.
I am Pro-Life.
Praise God,
Pat

Stay tuned, my dear…you will find out what a bad person you are “just for shopping”…more paranoia to come.

I like Starbucks as a treat
I drive a Ford…my whole family drives a Ford
I like Coke and Pepsi
I buy Proctor and Gamble Products
I like Pizza Hut

and yes…egad…I do shop at Wal-Mart

and no…I wouldn’t care if my real estate agent, my banker, my pharmacist, my neighbor, my co worker, the cop on the beat, the fireman were homosexual…🤷

DUCK!!! Incoming…!!!

I feel the same way, EXCEPT, when it comes to abortion, companies that support it.
Christ call me to love as he loves. HOWEVER there are many, fireman, real estate agents, ect that are Pro-Life, why not support them ?

Gods Peace,
Patrick

You may have missed the thread about the homosexual agenda…and there are people who would not use a real estate agency if one of their agents were gay.

Ford was a big boycott for the “gay agenda”…still not sure what exactly that is…

I won’t be boycotting…

Good 4 U.

(not sure what your point is)

Saw that pdf file on matching gifts. No date tho - how current is that? Matching gifts require that employees request them - wonder how popular that is?! It is something that we as prolifers need to make a stigma - uphill battle that it is, tho PP clinics are being shut down slow but sure.

Keep up the fight!!!

Just not an easy thing to keep up on where we can shop, eat, etc!!! Not practicle for some of us. Have 7 adopted kids and not many cars to pick from for a start! Love my Fords! Love my Starbucks, tho not any close to us making it a rare treat, and my husband has to have a job!!!

Volunteering at pregnancy resourse center - how many of you praying at abortion mills, and supporting your local PRC? Just hoping that you are doing something more to help. 🙂

Yes I am Catholic, See no reason to pretend, I did enough of that as an alcoholic/drug user.
God never forgot me, I will not forget him.

Dear NAPIKWAN:

My question was NOT directed at you but at “goofyjim” because I wanted to know where he “stands” in general so as to know how to communicate with him better/more fully if it seems good. Please accept my apologies for any misunderstanding I might have caused.

No problem, I was also just trying to clearify my position,
Peace be with you,
Patrick
