Someone posted some photos where our new Pope looks a lot like Alec Guiness - that shot from the front of the bus looks a lot like the older Alec Guiness.

Very true. Alec Guiness (a Catholic convert, incidentally) had a face that seemed to show intelligence, a thoughtful reserve, and a strength of will, and I see the same traits in our new Pope.I’ve heard people say he looks like Alec Guiness, JPI, John XXIII, Paul VI…apparently Papa Francis looks like a lot of people lol

It’s not risky when it’s on a bus full of Cardinals that are not leaving the Vatican city-state.
If he decided to go on the bus to another country with who knows…then I’ll worry.

Does anyone remember what Pope Benedict did during his first week?
Apparently overwhelmed with what had transpired, all by himself he walked out the back gate of the Vatican and returned to his off-site apartment, like he had done every day for the previous decade, and spent the afternoon playing his piano.
A huge crowd gathered in the street below. The Swiss Guard had to send a security detail and a limo to extract him.
