No it’s not… please read the thread in its entirety before posting. I am a member of the Old Catholic Church… and this makes the fourth time today I’ve explained this.

no you claim to be a catholic on a catholic site its your fault their is confusion. no such thing as old catholic church. like gay marriage total rubish

Okay. Except I am. There are different sects of Catholicism. I am a Catholic, but I’m not a Roman Catholic. My church has maintained apostolic succession throughout it’s history. We are not in communion with Rome because we reject papal infallibility. But, we are Catholics, and you can yell and throw your temper tantrum all day long, but that isn’t going to change anything. It’s also not on topic, so I don’t really want to discuss it any more. If you have questions about my faith, feel free to PM me, and I’ll gladly answer any question you have. But, I would appreciate it if you would behave in a charitable manner. I haven’t been disrespectful to your faith, and I’d appreciate the same out of you.

it is charitable. sorry you think otherwise. you post here claiming to be catholic and as you have said its the fourth time today obviously its your fault there is confusion its like gay marriage you want to redefine what catholics stand for by claiming to be “OLD” catholic without putting it in to your title and yes you have been disrespectful by claiming to be catholic here.

Fortunately most of the members on here are very charitable and respectful. That’s why I come here for discussion, because even though we disagree, most people still treat me as a brother in Christ, which is WAY more than I can say about some of the people on secular forums.

Agreed, and I have known of the Old Catholics for many years.

You list your religious affiliation as small “c” catholic - which technically is an adjective defined as 1. Of broad or liberal scope; comprehensive. As in: “The 100-odd pages of formulas and constants are surely the most catholic to be found” (Scientific American).

Does your church still regard marriage to be a sacrament? I know many protestant denominations do not. My husband’s church recognizes only Baptism & the Eucharist as sacraments.
