I will assume he means imperfections other than sin. Frankly, he probably doesn’t know what he means because he doesn’t know the religion.

Small-o orthodox Christianity, including but not limited to, Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Assyrian Church of the East, Anglicans, Protestants, and Anabaptists.

What imperfections other than sin would be attributed to the incarnate God?

There is the debate about how much he would have known in secular matters. Nutrition, science, math, etc. There would be imperfections in His body due to His class in society (apparently people like him got 20% of their calories from wine/alcohol, 50% from bread, etc, so He certainly wouldn’t have been healthy. Also think of brushing the teeth and how often would He have bathed?) and the time He was incarnated in. Then also cultural biases possibly (calling gentiles dogs for one, and repeatedly playing the honor-shame insult game throughout the Gospels. Every time scribes or lawyers talk to Him, asking Him basic questions isn’t some honest question for instance, they are trying to shame Him for being lower class than them, so He retorts with “haven’t you read?” [read that in a sarcastic tone] often, due to their class, since only 2 % of people in His society could read at all). Stuff like that, nothing sinful, just human. God did INcarnate after all.

Those are imperfections? 🥴

Sounds more like giving a pass to Don Lemon.

Who cares? Is it really important what some cable news commentators take on religion is? You can spend your whole life getting mad every time some media figure says something dumb or you can just accept that you really don’t have to care what Don Lemon says or thinks.

You make some interesting points. I’m not sure that these factors would affect his level of perfection though.

On the other hand thinking about this stuff is a bit outside of my intellectual comfort zone. One would benefit from formal training in theology and Divinity.

Very interesting.

I don’t like Don Lemon, I am deliberately assuming his words mean something so I don’t falsely judge him. I do this all the time.

In the end there will be far less interest in what Don Lemon’s fallible and imperfect understanding of Jesus Christ than in what Jesus Christ’s infallible and perfect understanding of Mr. Lemon is.

Don Lemon has been a complete joke for years. I haven’t paid any attention to him since he spent a whole night driving around in a “blizzard” that never happened, carrying on like he was Dan Rather covering Hurricane Carla.

Why anyone would care what he thinks about Christ or anything else is a mystery to me, unless one is concerned for Don’s salvation. I will pray for his soul.

I wish I could find the clip of him and supposedly catholic Chris cuomo mocking Christians that was on the air last night. It hasn’t hit YouTube yet

Christ was like us in everything but Sin. He is True God and True Man. Contrary to popular belief, just because you disagree with him, doesn’t mean he was imperfect. Don Lemon 🍋 is just silly.
