disaffected Sanders supporters will turn out for Clinton
Not gonna happen, in fact they couldn’t find not one today in Indiana. 1/3 will be lost to the Green party and Trump is whats projected from today.

Hillary may not even make it to the election and its very telling the Democrats couldn’t even come up with a candidate but the one who lost in 2008. Sad really. 🤷

Trump didn’t say that, of course.

If I were Trump, I’m not even sure I would agree to debate Hillary Clinton. She has been practicing for decades now, and the debate would be full of things like that; blindsiding with falsehoods. Would Trump pay a price for not doing it? Maybe, because people expect it now. But maybe people have had it with the round-the-clock political coverage and might not even miss it.

He might pull it off, saying he wants to talk directly to real people, not to “crooked Hillary” with biased moderators helping her tell lies like they did with Obama.

One needs to remember that Truman defeated the much-favored Dewey not in debates, but by going around the country to every whistle stop and talking directly to the people.
Trump seems most effective when he’s doing essentially the same thing.
I don’t think Hillary is a very good debater, based on her past performance. Trump isn’t either, but he wouldn’t be operating under the same playbook as her. If Hillary tries to play the “Woman” card, he will bring up the rape allegations against her husband, his activities with Monica Lewinsky, and probably her chief-of-staff’s husband Anthony Weiner. I don’t think Cruz would go there, but Trump definitely will. His challenge will be to avoid just being the guy who tears her down and instead establishing a positive persona in the eyes of the undecided viewers, and building his coalition beyond his avid fans.

He could do well by cutting into Hillary’s support among African-Americans. Clearly, rampant illegal immigration has hurt many of them. Entry level jobs are harder to get, skilled trades like housing construction are all but closed to non-immigrants in some parts of the country, and wages are driven down by continually increasing the supply of labor through immigration. This is an issue where black citizens would benefit from Trump’s policies. He could do a better job of articulating that.

What gives you that idea?
Bernie supporters like all this talk of revolution and socialist revolutions have been done before.
Except that Trump is in no way a conservative.
Trump is conservative. Just because he is not a Southern-style conservative doesn’t mean he is not a conservative. He is pro-life and against same-sex marriage. That is good enough for me.

Actually, I would be quite surprised if Trump were in fact prolife or against same-sex marriage. But he will give breathing room, equal time, to people who are, which is more than you can say for the Obama or Clinton administration. Trump would be closer to the Bush administration, or any other moderate Republican administration.

I’m not quite sure what a Southern-style conservative is, but there are true conservatives all around the country. I assure you, Trump is no conservative of any style.

He is a New York populist conservative.

I agree about appealing to blacks, particularly working class black males. Black working class males are not greatly different from working class whites in any significant way, and such men also work with white men, know them as persons, and probably are a lot less infected with racial divisiveness that the left promotes.

That’s not to say he should abandon any appeal to black women, but they are also going to be heavily propagandized by Clinton’s playing the “woman card”, and thus receive a double hit of divisiveness. He shouldn’t abandon them, but he should realize his greater appeal would be among black men.

The job is there if Trump wants to go to it. We’ll see.

Donald Trump has always been a conspiracy theorist kind of guy.
He is also a birther isn’t he?
So is Hillary. Her staff actually started the whole “Obama may not have been born in America” meme when she was campaigning against him.

Bernie Sanders may turn out to be Hillary Clinton’s worst nightmare and Donald Trump’s best friend.

The Wire is nothing but conspiracy…
The Daily Wire is owned by the Wilks brothers. They have donated $15 Million to the Cruz Campaign.
😊

You are right, Trump is not any kind of conservative, nor is he pro-life.
