(I’ll admit to a some unease because Trump has never governed, is routinely unkind to people and I’m a little confused as to where he actually stands on the issues, but still, it’s clear that he is more than willing to negotiate).
Hopefully, he will clear that up definitively.
I would feel much more nervous if Cruz were in the mix because Cruz is extreme and not willing to negotiate.
Cruz has actually negotiated, just not on core principles.

SL, I believe Cruz is an absolute patriot and I’m sure it shocked him to get to Washington and discover that his fellows were having NONE of his “core principles.” You can be pure as the driven snow, but if you can’t work with others, you can’t govern. Even you cannot deny how loathed Cruz was in Washington. I’m not saying that’s fair, but it is reality.

Elections have consequences. In the past, if the majority of citizens vote for a President (once, twice…), Washington accepts that the majority of people desire that the President set the agenda. Even if power is also given to the other branches of government as it was during the midterms, historically, that power has been understood to mediate, not obstruct. MOO, of course.

And while I do hope Trump will clear up his positions eventually, the damage may have already been done for his (admittedly unusual) run.

The voters sent a mixed message with Obama, they kept him in office, possible to finish implementing Obamacare, but they cut him off at the knees for new initiatives by giving both the House and Senate to the GOP.

He made mistakes with women also, and yet he still is tied in the polls. That said my point is/was there really is no reason for this that I can see. He likes Christians, my point was these are all Christians/Catholics by large. I think they campaign in general foolishly. Now if it was me I’d already have all those votes. 🙂 They made a natural relationship into a project. 🙂
But the polls are early. Trust me, when you start going state by state, especially in states like Arizona, nevada, Colorado, and Georgia, these states might become blue due to its large Hispanic and African American communities.

The women will continue to move to whoever is the democratic nominee. But, like i told you, they won’t vote for the democrat, even if it is HRC bc of her abortion stance as you have said so many times. But, they will vote democrat, bc they will not vote for a man who attacks their ethnicity, their race, their culture, their sex.

That has happened with the last 2 term presidents. Reagan, Clinton, bush, and Obama. Same thing will happen this go round. I don’t see a party sweeping all 3 houses.

Let’s say, God forbid, Trump wins. He will more than likely have a democratic house or senate. A lot of his “promises” like the wall, will not go up.

Donald Trump needs better Christian advisers, Its early though and states by large are growing more independent which is what I seen on the east coast and I think its spreading. Makes sense as its what happened to me. I know many many people who are democrat and christian conservative too. You have to be conservative by large to be pro life and find a place in the party of democrats. There’s no reason for the issues with these peoples who really should be allies. I don’t get the idea of making un-needed adversaries for no reason and call it any media attention is good.

Trump and you know this is mad. That’s been his rhetoric and people have supported that.

Are people in the country to be understood for being mad? Without a doubt. But Trump is going after everyone. He didn’t start this rhetoric Saturday when he went after the Hispanic judge in his university case. This has been going on since he began campaigning.

He might go and kissy kissy with Christian leaders.

Minorities will support him (blacks, Hispanics, Asians, native Americans, and women) but as a whole, it will be 65-35 democrat.

Could be. But one has to ask oneself how badly voters want another four or eight years of economic stagnation, declining wages, job-killing regulations and increased taxes, and all under a corrupt person like Hillary Clinton who, for all we know, might sell the remaining 80% of U.S. uranium supplies to Russia (therefore Iran) if the price paid to her is right. And what’s China’s price for termination of arms sales to Taiwan? What would Russia have to pay Bill Clinton to stop all aid of every kind to Ukraine and Poland?

This election could be determined by those who don’t want something more than they want something.

He did the same thing with the hispanic republican gov of NM. Does he ever apologize without an excuse? 😃 Does everyone filthy wealthy act like this or is it me? He’s his own worst enemy by way of learned behavior, but I think he wants to defend christians? I mean is he confused or what?

In fairness, Democrats won the majority of votes for Congress (51-49%), but only won 46% of the seats because of gerrymandering.

The Republican electorate picked the man who best represents them and their views. That’s Trump with the racism and all.

Hillary will only sell it if the requisite contribution to the Clinton foundation is made

You shouldn’t call people racists its not nice, I realize race and identity politics seems to be the answer to all things for liberals, and is of utter most importance but its uncalled for here, and certainly from a conservative and christian perspective.

I’m sorry, but after thinking about it, it certainly is a component of his success. I think the prime thing is the economic populism, but he’s been pushing race issues for a while (build a wall; Mexican illegal immigrants are rapists, etc.). Now that by itself is borderline.

Where I think he firmly crosses the line into racism is going after the judge in his federal case by suggesting he is biased because he is Mexican. I don’t see how that can be anything but racism and I stand by that.
