Of The 17 candidates who participated in both debates only one is whining about the questions asked, only one is attacking Megyn Kelley in the most vicious and unseemly manner possible . Trumps performance in the debate and especially after the debate is proof positive he is not fit to be president of United States
Megyn Kelly was out to get Mr. Trump. Some of her accusations against him in her questions were either false or taken out of context.

Are you just as hard on members of the liberal media who throw baited questions to Republicans almost every time they interview one? They take Republicans and other conservatives out of context all the time.

Trump has the right spirit and right general message, it’s just the execution that’s the problem. And he needs to direct his fire at the DNC, not at FOX for doing their job.
Trump is far from my favorite candidate, but many of the questions asked were not DEBATE questions. They were questions fit for interviews, you know, the type of format that Obama and Clinton avoid like the Bubonic Plague. The FOX panel wasted about 35 minutes of air time asking mostly stupid questions not amenable to good debate, and of liitle import to most Americans. “Does God speak to you?” for example. How disgusting and obtuse!
The FOX establishment shills did NOT do their job, and there was very little light shed upon the issues that will face America in the years ahead. Megyn Kelly would not have the courage to ask Hiilary or Barack the kind of “gotcha” questions she served up to the GOP candidates, (as if she would ever get the chance), but if she did the NYT and other government house organs would have derided her for it. Megyn and Chris Wallace disgraced their profession.

I didn’t see any accusations. I saw questions. Which ones were false or taken out of context?

But Bob, was the question to Trump a DEBATE question? Megyn could have interviewed Trump at any time and asked this. Overall, I thought that this forum was dominated by the “journalists”, and as I stated above, it shed very little light upon the issues which will dominate America in the imminent future. Rob

P.S. I AM NOT A TRUMP SUPPORTER. 😃

The raising hands thing to start the debate was the only thing that bothered me as it was directed at Donald although it was posed to everyone. Maybe ask him a question later. I hate any of those things where they have candidates raise their hand. But these are setup as made for TV events, it’s basically American Idol. There shouldn’t be an audience at these.

Which questions did you have a problem with?

By the way - it was Bret Baier who asked the candidates to raise her hand, not Megan Kelly

Which questions did you have a problem with?
All questions which didn’t lend themselves to good give and take DEBATE amongst the candidates, certainly including the Trump misogynist question. How about the goofy question, “Does God speak to you?” It was disgusting.
P.S. Interestingly, a serious question asked to Trump about his former support for single payer caused the Donald to stumble badly.

Didn’t Trump call Erik Erickson a loser? Was that after he disinvited Trump or before?
Here are some cut and paste tweets from Donald Trumps verified twitter.

Here is the tweet about Erik Erikson:
Small crowds at @RedState today in Atlanta. People were very angry at EWErickson, a major sleaze and buffoon who has saved me time and money

The hatred that clown @krauthammer has for me is unbelievable – causes him to lie when many others say Trump easily won debate.

…Dopey @krauthammer should be fired. @FoxNews
While one might not agree with Charles Krauthammer regarding the debate, Trump is attributing hatred as his motive and calls him a clown. Krauthammer is a pulitzer prize winning author. He always comes across as level headed, serious and highly intelligent.
.@FrankLuntz, your so-called “focus groups” are a total joke. Don’t come to my office looking for business again. You are a clown!
.@FrankLuntz is a low class slob who came to my office looking for consulting work and I had zero interest. Now he picks anti-Trump panels!

“@timjcam: @megynkelly @FrankLuntz @realDonaldTrump Fox viewers give low marks to bimbo @MegynKelly will consider other programs!”
This is the “bimbo” quote, One cannot tell if it is a retweet (usually retweets are marked retweets, or a quote. But it was on his feed.

I hear that Hillary Clinton can cuss like a sailor, possibly there are other matters like this. Perhaps these are valid questions as well.

My comment was meant towards the whole of the debate not Megyn Kelly. I had zero problem with anyone questions she or any other moderator asked with the exception of the first question as I mentioned previously.

I didn’t see any accusations. I saw questions. Which ones were false or taken out of context?
  1. That Trump used the phrase “disgusting animals” to refer to women. Where did he use that phrase?
  2. The accusation about women kneeling - this was something brought up by a contestant on his show.

Even if Megyn Kelly was a bit harsh on Trump at the beginning of the debate, so what? As a potential presidential candidate and as a man, Trump should be able to take it without all this brouhaha. But the latter is in keeping with his personality.
Twice elected Bush the second called a reporter a ‘major league ***’. The difference was Bush said that in what he thought was private. But does that matter? Maybe it is better to have a president who is himself in public versus one who acts a role.

Can you explain what you mean by ‘as a man’?

I personally don’t put much stock in awards. Obama won the Novel Peace Prize for merely being elected president. I don’t see Pulitzer Prizes as being any more honest.

I don’t find Krauthammer particularly smart. I find he extremely creepy for the detached way he advocates making war, bombing, and killing. This may seem level headed but to me it is depraved. It might seem less so because he has so much company in his depravity. It is an American vice, if so horrible an impulse can be called such. But compared to other Fox News personalities he may seem more moderate.

This is my gripe about the whole Trump issue. To attack and accuse him of saying things that can be documented to have been taken out of context,or to have never occured in the first place is shoddy journalism, especially in a debate format.

My point was, Charles Krauthammer merely stated he did not think Trump’s performance was strong at the debate. He even used positive language in describing Trump as a speaker.
Krauthammer said, “the real story is the collapse of Trump in this debate. … The fact is, he was out of place. And when you think about it, when he’s free form, when he’s uninterrupted, when he can do the flight of ideas, when he can go on his own and ramble, he’s entertaining, he’s sharp, and he’s actually amusing. But here when he was controlled, and in a tight setting, he was lost for most of the debate. And I think it showed that, he was in a group of professional politicians, whom he mocks, and yet they, as a group, and individually, were able to handle it, and to be sharp and persuasive, most of the time
That’s a pretty fair criticism. It isn’t hateful. Instead of giving a rebuttal, Trump uses offensive ad hominems.

A professional journalist is supposed to report the news, not make the news and become part of it. By making false accusations and becoming part of the news, Megyn Kelly has acted unprofessionally.

The format of the program was more of an interview than a debate. It was a panel of Republican hopefuls and I do not think the questions were stupid. They were questions that primary voters will have to ask themselves when they go to choosing a candidate to represent the Republican party. And as far as Kelly goes, she will never get the opportunity to ask questions of Clinton. Clinton and the rest of the Obama administration avoid Fox like the plague. Perhaps you will find the upcoming debates more to your liking. They will be paneled with liberal questioners.

Who says that Kelly and Wallace are conservatives? Not I. My problem is not that the questions were all “stupid” (although some were), but that I wanted to hear the candidates banter back and forth about issues. This foolish talk today about Donald’s alleged misogyny and Megyn’s bleeding sites are irrelevant distractions from serious problems. And Democrats are crowing from their self-imposed coccoons. :doh2: Rob
