After two policemen, sitting in their patrol car, were killed by a revenge-filled man, profoundly shocking people in the United States, Cardinal Dolan advised a congregation that the Good News may seem far away as Christmas comes near. But although it may be difficult, we must remember Christ’s presence in the midst of darkness.
The murders were a great shock in the U.S. because they climaxed massive demonstrations by protestors in the U.S after two black men were shot and killed by policemen, events causing universal dismay.
