That’s a long and involved debate that I’m not going to get into.

The point is very simple: neither you, nor HC, cannot find support from Scripture that SDA’s are not keeping the Sabbath.
I showed you all the support you need to know you are not keeping the Sabbath the way God asked the Isrealites to keep the Sabbath. Just because you insist on claiming you are smarter and more entitled to the Sabbath than the actual Jews is not my problem. You think you own the Sabbath. You “keep” the Sabbath the way EGW told you to, not the way God told Moses to.

Everytime someone on this thread shows you that you are wrong you say you haven’t been shown. How convenient is that?

:D:D:D

And I still laugh…😃
Oh you are all so amusing today:) In my country we did not have much of her books, they had hard times coming to this part of the world,I wonder why…but I will not start another issue here…Well, without her and having much on her teaching I was still SDA . People, that is a miracle, how did that ever happen? Do you actually believe that if you show us that E.White was such and such that the SDA church will fall apart.I will tell you what actually might work. Take the Bible from us and show us that Bible is not God’s word and is not worth much then you may succeed.Even if I would ever leave the church would I think that Catholic was the one to go,it would be like saying to myself that the Earth was flat and in the center of our solar system. But that would be a lie, wouldn’t it?
I will now continue to laugh…:D:D
I’ll be posting more of that funny and amusing stuff, later, and I hope you laugh your brains off reading it. I do. 😃

Okay, I can work with that. Now show a logic table on one of the alleged contradictions.

Since they have been proven to have lied to you once, how many other things have they said that isn’t true? Since you couldn’;t possibly check all of what they say, how many lies do they get to tell you before you realize that they can’t be trusted? Why trust them at all?

Well, since we know that too many SDA’s aren’t living up to what they know we know that that is true. So, the only thing you could be saying is that the same thing could be said of Ccatholics as well–which could be true and there’d still be more Catholics in heaven, than SDA’s–so, that’s true too.
  1. I’m not angry at all; and I’m certainly not self-righteous (you don’t get ulcers for that!).
  2. The SDA church doesn’t label the CC that way. You were lied to again. Tell your source to keep quiet.
    ===
How do the quote command: you use the square brackets: ‘’ then the word “quote” and the close with ‘]’. Then you close off what you are quoting with ‘’ /quote ‘]’–without the ’ marks and no spaces.
Thank you djconklin, for your help that was kind of you. I am, however, still unconvinced by the fact that the SDA church isn’t labeling the CC the you know what. I was speaking to Biblefirst not even a day ago on this matter, and he was pretty adamant in proving otherwise.

Another good one.Oh boy,are you inspired today.

Thank the Holy Spirit He’s the one who inspires me.

Personally,I am a very happy person.

Personally, I could care less if you’re happy or not. I didn’t ask.

Do not have to go to some priest to tell me how many Hail Mary will I have to repeat…

No, but you let a woman whose been long dead dictate to you what you should and shouldn’t eat, pathetic.

I do not to worry which priest lacks a female touch so he will “touch” my child.

Hmmm, I wonder if this is worth getting you banned?

Also I do not have to walk on my knees around some previously appointed things, shrines, mountains…

Actually, I walk on my head while praying with my feet.

I will continue later on this happy stuff…🙂

Hey, I have an idea, maybe we can compare our happy stuff.
God bless the the Catholic Church and her Pope, the “Anti-Christ”. 😃

See josie’s posts earlier this aftenoon She repeatedly brought it up. And then you went and did it with this:

Now I’m going to say this one more time, please get it this time:

I DO NOT USE THE WRITINGS OF ELLEN G. WHITE!

capeesh?

And yet when we look at SDA Fundamental Beliefs (adventist.org/beliefs/fundamental/index.html) we see it supported solely by Scripture and not EGW. Whom to believe: cold, hard facts or propaganda??

As the link clearly shows we do not. Repeatling a lie you have been told doesn’t make it so.

Now I’m upset!
Posting some more of my funny stuff:

“There is no one individual entirely responsible for the development of the Seventh-day Adventist church, but there is no question that Ellen G. White was the one most influential person during the time of its formation. **Were it not for Mrs. White one wonders if there would be a Seventh-day Adventist church today. **Her 100,000 pages of writing continue to be an authority for the Adventist church second only to the Bible. Seeing the Bible through the writings of Mrs. White has resulted in some of the unique doctrines held by the Adventist church. Mrs. White claimed to be a “messenger of God” and the church accepted her as a “prophet of God” and continues to believe that God gave her specific instructions and guidance through her visions. It was the supernatural nature of these visions” that was one of the most significant early evidences that she was being used by God as a prophet, and it is these same events that continue to be evidence of her inspiration to most Adventists."

Visions or Partial-Complex Seizures By Delbert H. Hodder, M.D. Published in: Evangelica Nov. 1981

What kind of SDA would you be if you ignored her writings, and did not adhere to her prophecies? She is a prophet, right? and you believe in her prophecies, right?

God bless the the Catholic Church and her Pope, the “Anti-Christ”. 😃
Personally, I could care less if you’re happy or not. I didn’t ask.
Well you made the statement that we are probably not happy people so I was just telling you that you got it wrong.😃 Besides that, not caring for your neighbor when you should pray even for your enemies,is not a Christian spirit and in your previous post you say that you are led by the Holy Spirit?
No, but you let a woman whose been long dead dictate to you what you should and shouldn’t eat, pathetic.
Another blind statement,I eat what I want. Not eating meat is my personal decision. Actually I am about to became total vegan because of my health not because of E.White. But do please continue for this is amusing. Talking so much about E.White does not bother me for my faith is based on the ROCK Jesus Christ not on E.White. She is dead, she had very good ideas and gave pointers to many aspects of living but she is not venerated in my church. You got nothing else to talk about but E.White.Why do not you talk about the end days and your theology of last days. What the beast means, three angel’s message because I do not hear your church warn people about Babylon. So teach us !
Hmmm, I wonder if this is worth getting you banned?
You would ban me for telling the truth? That tells me enough already.
Probably we should ban all the newspapers and media for talking about immorality in the church. The priests who abused children should be immediately excommunicated instead things are being covered up.Church now admits their big problem and sexual immorality among their ranks after it all has been esxposed, and it is not people like you (who would readily ban the ones who talk about it) who exposed them but the very victims.
I gave you links in my previous posts. If you ban something it does not mean it will not come out. There are still some honest people left. Because of those who are throwing things under the carpet we have all this evil around us-I condemn such behavior in any church or social group not only Catholic church and it angers me when I see that things like that are being covered up.

Actually, I walk on my head while praying with my feet.
You are than better than anyone, just show an example to everyone and continue doing so:). Jesus does not need you to do that,He needs your heart that many are not willing to give, they rather torture their bodies.
God bless the the Catholic Church and her Pope, the “Anti-Christ”.
It shows us the respect you have for God when you jokingly use God and His blessing for Anti-Christ. It does not matter what you meant with your statement ( I know very well what you meant) but shows that you have not filter in your mind and you are reckless with using of God’s name. 😦

What kind of SDA would you be if you ignored her writings, and did not adhere to her prophecies? She is a prophet, right? and you believe in her prophecies, right?
I read my Bible and sometimes when I read her writings I see that my way of thinking was like hers. She like me likes to get deep into the matter of things. She believed that change of character and heart is what God wants not rites and outwardly manifestations of faith. Will church membership and regular attending save a person? It is foolish to think that it will. I have a church in my neighborhood and I watch these nice people who go to church, seem really pious in there, do they thing there and when they are over and come out of the church one would not believe what kind of language they use. They even curse God and in the language of my country they curse like no others but they are people who believe-they say they do,and they would fight for their beliefs like many of you do here. They do not even hear themselves when they curse God because it has become a habit but as soon they see a cross somewhere they will make a sign of a cross and that is it. I will not exclude SDA’s who come to church dressed in short dresses without any respect to the place where they came to,or they do some things that are not Christlike-marry and divorce and marry again and such…All these characters belong to one and the same group, they are a chaff and they will be judged. They are those who have love of God on their lips…and that is where the love stays on their lips and never on their hearts. Those who like the world and are wordly will not inherit the kingdom of God. Those who love the cigarette or some other detrimental thing more than God are not God’s people…Those who like to watch pornography and such, who enjoy in watching stuff with lots of horror and violence…Little kids quote action heroes and do know zilch of the Bible-these are only mentioned as examples,I could give more but have no time. All that I said here was what E.White talked about not in direct words but the meaning is the same. This is not a prophecy it is like a Bible study. What you read in Bible you analyze and try to implant in the daily life…It does not need one to be a prophet to realize things that will happen. There were things that E.White said and they really happened and still are happening,so time will tell. So am I to discard what she was saying? No… I see many Catholic read Nostradamus and trust his prophecies. We have these lying astrologers on TV every day and people are calling and calling, asking them for advises which is totally contrary to the Bible, they trust these demonic people for advise instead praying to God. Does anyone recognizes himself/herself here? If you do,change, before it is too late.
More delusion comes our way , Satan does not sleep.

This is a story from a former Catholic priest. I wish this story would encourage people here to study the Bible for themselves,I do not call you to come to SDA church but come to God through Jesus. Do not listen to us,do not listen to anyone what they tell you considering the doctrine.Go and study for yourself and make your own conclusions. Why don’t you dedicate few weeks and try what I suggest you. Nobody tells you to read E.White…Go to your room, close the door to it and be alone, with your Savior. Believe He is right there, next to you. Then tell Him,what is in your heart, cry if you want if you have burden on your soul or share happy moments with Him,thank Him for your life, for life of your family and friends…Ask Him to reveal Himself in your life, tell Him: I do not want to be led or misled by anyone so please let me know what you want me to do,how do You want me to praise You. What do I need for my salvation. Do that…and then dedicate time for reading His Holy Word, look in the Bible for wonderful promises to His people. Do not have radio turned on,nor your TV,this is time for You and Your friend and Savior Jesus Christ. Maybe things in your life will start to change. Listen to your conscience. Dedicate these few weeks for you and Jesus. Leave out for this time, this few weeks, Mary and the saints, let it be just You and Your Savior. Is it that so hard. Nobody tells you to go and worship Satan, there is no danger in what I tell you. Satan will try to drive you away from this, there will be phones ringing, guests coming, children screaming, loads of work and maybe all sorts of things that will try to distract you…Do not do that just for the sake of trying it but because you want to get to know Jesus personally in your life, because you want the blessings He promised. Cherish those moments with Jesus and trust He is standing right next to you and hears every word you say every thought you think. He knows of your burdens before you will say anything but He wants you to say the things burdening you to show the faith that He can really hear you. He is always there. Try to stay away from violent stuff, violent movies, stuff that poison the Spirit in you and drive you away from God especially during these few weeks.Sometimes that is hard because we fight with our own desires and that is the hardest battle ever. Be determined. Say ,let Your will be done in my life not my own will. Is it not hard to let Jesus take the wheel of our vehicle/body?
Jesus will not be able to wash our sins if we are not ready and willing to stop “bathing” in them. We may have load of sins but as He said to some :go and sin no more ,He will do the same thing with us if we believe and if we ask that of Him and open our soul : Father in heaven I did commit the sin and my soul is unclean but I am willing to change and follow your Son,the Lamb, wherever He may lead, please forgive me in Jesus name Your Son and Savior I pray. Amen.
Jeremiah 31;34 For I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more.

Ah! But which seminar?!? Don’t you know which one?
Actually, I only watched 3, and every one was filled with implication, innuendo, and out right lies. I have no doubt the others are as bad. I wrote a detailed rebuttal for all 3 seminars, and sent it to my SDA aquaintance who had recommended the Seminars. I waited for his reply, and several months later I’m still waiting. I told him when he answered my questions I would continue to view the rest of the seminars (as revolting as they were). So, as you see like the man once said “Not to reply, is to reply”.

… I believe that the system ran by the papacy is the first beast power of Revelation 13…
“The church of God which sojourns at Rome to the church of God which sojourns at Corinth…But if any disobey the words spoken by him through us, let them know that they will involve themselves in transgression and in no small danger.”
Clement, Bishop of Rome (A.D. 96)

“Simon, Simon, behold Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat, but I have prayed that your own faith may not fail; and once you have turned back, you must strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22, 31-32
… Recall in Matthew 4:9 that Satan wanted Christ to worship him… he wants our worship… It’s because of this that he’s created ways to make us think we’re worshiping God by instituting practices into Christianity that have their roots in paganism. Rosary beads are but one example of this “baptized paganism”.
You forgot to mention as well the ritual of baptism with water. In ancient Egypt new born infants were baptized with water to purify them of blemishes contracted in the womb. The water of the Nile was believed to have contained regenerative powers when used to baptize the dead in a ritual based on the Osiris myth. In pre-Christian ancient Greece a bath in the sanctuary of Trophonium served to procure immortality for the initiate. The mystery religions of that period conducted ablution rites of either immersion or a washing of the body for purification and initiation. I hardly find these practices intrinsically evil, do you? What are we to think now of John the Baptist? Did Satan get hold of him as early as apostolic time even before the Catholic Church was born at Pentecost? Was our Lord a pagan for having allowed John to baptize him? 🤷

“…some prayers and rituals of other religions may assume a role of preparation for the Gospel, in that they are occasions and pedagogical helps in which the human heart is prompted to be open to the action of God.”
Former Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, Dominus lesus, 6 August 2000

“You Athenians, I see that in every respect you are very religious. For as I walked around looking carefully at your shrines, I even discovered an altar inscribed, ‘To an Unkown God’.”
Acts 17, 22-23
Rosary beads were used by ancient Mexicans, the Brahmins of Hindustan and Tibetan priests… They were also used in cults from Greece and Rome… They’re also used by Moslems and Buddhists today… there is nothing Christian about them, but they’ve been subtly incorporated into Christianity through the Catholic church.
I suppose John “subtly incorporated” through Satanic agency the ritual of baptism as Jesus had played the devil’s advocate by adopting the pre-Christian use of sacramentals.

Jesus used clay and spittle to heal the blind man, and he ordered him to wash his face in the pool of Siloam to effect the cure (Jn 9:6-7). Surely, our Lord could have simply healed him without using clay, spittle, and water. There was no need for Jesus to perform a sacramental ritual unless he wanted to demonstrate something to us: that God uses the physical elements of this world, which serve as signs pointing to spiritual truths, to channel his healing grace.
But it doesn’t stop or start with Rosary beads. Christ taught us how to pray in Matthew 6:5-14. Notice in verse 7 that He says, “And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words”.
Our Lord is condemning the exercise of prayer that consists merely of eloquent words and does not come from the heart. He is concerned about vain prayer, not repetitive prayer. Recall the repentant tax collector adjacent to the Pharisee who kept beating his breast and repeating: “God be merciful to me, a sinner” (Lk 18:13). The more he repeated his action and words, the more pleasing his prayer was to God, for it was offered with a sincere and contrite heart. If we fail to recite the Rosary faithfully and devotedly, then our Apostles Creeds, Glorias, Our Fathers, and Hail Marys (a scriptural prayer), amount to vain babbling.
Following are but a handful more examples of pagan practices that have crept into Christianity through the same system:… Madonna and child,… the Keys of Peter,… the Sun-god (Nimrod)…which ultimately is why “the Church” instituted Sunday worship,…and the list goes on and on.
They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage.
Matthew 2, 10-11

“I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Matthew 16, 19

I was caught up in the spirit on the Lord’s day.
Revelation 1, 10

After he was caught up, John witnessed the Eucharistic celebration on the Lord’s day, which is Sunday - the day Jesus resurrected from the dead (cf. Acts 20:7).
Saying they were instituted under the authority of tradition is exactly what Christ spoke out and warned against in Mark 7:9. If it’s not in the Word of God, it’s wrong…plain and simple.
Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, either by an oral statement or by a letter of ours.

It’s interesting how one should take on the role of satan when it was not noted by Good Fella who was to be the subject of the reply.

Onlookers must assume the poster who felt insulted must have guilt in their heart. Otherwise Good Fella could have been just agreeing.

You know, if the SDA had a different attitude about the Catholic church they might just get a gentler response. If you guys were to say, “Hey look we think you should worship on Saturday’s not Sunday’s because of this and that,” And left it go at that we wouldn’t be so hard on you. But you call us “Whore of Babylon”, and make up all sorts of ridiculous lies about our faith. Bash us relentlessly as if your entire religion depends on the idea that Catholics are devils, and wrong about everything. So, I don’t feel sorry for you. I think most of you folks need to feel superior to others, as if out of millions, and millions of Christians who have been worshiping on Sunday since the 1st century you folks with maybe half a million followers are the only ones that got it right?? You make up such ridiculous stories like teh one I just read on your website about how St Patrick of Ireland was a "Sabbath " worshiper who started his own group of “Sabbath” converts in Ireland, but the truth about it has been suppressed”…while offering no references whatsoever to back your claims….What garbage! Your leaders must sit down and just make this stuff up as they go with no intellectual integrity at all.
Their website is:amazingfacts.org (It should be called amazinglypathetic.org)

One more thing about Doug before this thread goes away.

It’s pretty obvious that when a person feels the need to point out what’s wrong with other churches and faiths, there is not enough good and righteous in that person’s own religious following to build upon.

If I were a pastor and I had Christ behind me, I would not need to build my ministry by tearing others down. I would simply build my ministry block by block with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Instead Doug and others like him don’t have enough Good News in their own churches so they have to resort to spewing poison (kinda like what’s been done here) about other churches and especially the catholic Church.

Does it make anyone here wonder why the catholic Church and not one of the other 40 thousand others? Why not the Buddists, the Hindus, the Muslims, the Mormons, or the Jews since we’ve seen here they pretty much think of Jesus’ ancestors as liars and murderers.

Because satan always attacks what puts him in danger of losing the battle. Think about that.

Let no one come between you and the Eucharist. Strive with all your heart and soul to remember Him as he asked us to. Let Him rest in you as you rest in Him.

Peace Be With You.

Saint Patrick

St. Patrick of Ireland is one of the world’s most popular saints.
Apostle of Ireland, born at Kilpatrick, near Dumbarton, in Scotland, in the year 387; died at Saul, Downpatrick, Ireland, 17 March, 461.

Along with St. Nicholas and St. Valentine, the secular world shares our love of these saints. This is also a day when everyone’s Irish.
There are many legends and stories of St. Patrick, but this is his story.
Patrick was born around 385 in Scotland, probably Kilpatrick. His parents were Calpurnius and Conchessa, who were Romans living in Britian in charge of the colonies.
As a boy of fourteen or so, he was captured during a raiding party and taken to Ireland as a slave to herd and tend sheep. Ireland at this time was a land of Druids and pagans. He learned the language and practices of the people who held him.
During his captivity, he turned to God in prayer. He wrote
“The love of God and his fear grew in me more and more, as did the faith, and my soul was rosed, so that, in a single day, I have said as many as a hundred prayers and in the night, nearly the same.” “I prayed in the woods and on the mountain, even before dawn. I felt no hurt from the snow or ice or rain.”
Patrick’s captivity lasted until he was twenty, when he escaped after having a dream from God in which he was told to leave Ireland by going to the coast. There he found some sailors who took him back to Britian, where he reunited with his family.
He had another dream in which the people of Ireland were calling out to him “We beg you, holy youth, to come and walk among us once more.”
He began his studies for the priesthood. He was ordained by St. Germanus, the Bishop of Auxerre, whom he had studied under for years.
Later, Patrick was ordained a bishop, and was sent to take the Gospel to Ireland. He arrived in Ireland March 25, 433, at Slane. One legend says that he met a chieftain of one of the tribes, who tried to kill Patrick. Patrick converted Dichu (the chieftain) after he was unable to move his arm until he became friendly to Patrick.
Patrick began preaching the Gospel throughout Ireland, converting many. He and his disciples preached and converted thousands and began building churches all over the country. Kings, their families, and entire kingdoms converted to Christianity when hearing Patrick’s message.
Patrick by now had many disciples, among them Beningnus, Auxilius, Iserninus, and Fiaac, (all later canonized as well).
Patrick preached and converted all of Ireland for 40 years. He worked many miracles and wrote of his love for God in Confessions. After years of living in poverty, traveling and enduring much suffering he died March 17, 461.
