There have been a lot of posts on this thread about catholics “unknowingly” serving satan and unknowingly doing satan’s work.

NOT POSSIBLE.

You cannot unknowingly do evil. We are born inherently good. At any time we can change our ways and begin again. We inherit that from God. We LEARN evil. You cannot commit an “evil” act without first knowing it’s evil.

We who are catholic are not accidentally following satan. We worship the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We recite the Apostles Creed. We say the “Our Father”. We pray to God and we read the Gospels every mass. We take part in ministries and charities all over the world. We promote Christianity the way it was begun 2000 years ago. Believe me, satan is none too happy about what’s going on in the catholic Church. Now what’s going on here on this thread…different story.

You know who you are and you know the things you’ve said are evil. They are against God’s Church and His people. Whether you believe it or not.

satan wants people who knowingly do his bidding.

The things that have been said about the catholic Church here astound me. It wouldn’t matter how much I believed something someone else believes in is wrong, I wouldn’t say the things that have been said here.

Anyone can go through this thread and clearly see who is in Christ’s camp and who is not.

Patrick, I wanted to know how brainwashed are these people who view the CC as evil? And after you left the SDA church did you feel psychologically better? If these questions are too personal I understand. I just can’t comprehend the level of fear that some SDAs have of us, isn’t it emotionally/psychologically draining to think like this? God bless!!!

No your questions aren’t too personal at all, and I do not mind sharing my experience and my opinion.

While there is a very strong phenomenon of “tunnel vision” among many SDAs, I don’t go so far to call it brain washing. Many who join the SDA church already held anti-catholic sentiments, and the active anti-catholic fervor in SDA teaching is very attractive to those folks. Most join the SDA church freely and sincerely believe what they are taught. But the more a person studies their quarerly Sabbath School lessons each week, reads their publications, especially the writings of Ellen G. White, they are deeply embedded in that mind set and mental model of the world and Christianity. There are also those who do not share the same fervor as some you’ve come across, and are more open to ecumenism…at least to the extent that one can be open to that given that mental model.

It is indeed emotionally and psychologically draining to be centered in this thinking…as I’m sure most have noticed and experienced on this thread. And yes it was not so much psychologically better when I left the SDA church…it was most importantly spiritually better. For the first time in my life I have experienced more of God’s graces in the past year (and I won’t be Catholic until Easter a little over a week from now), than all of my years in the SDA church. I have heard similar thoughts from a few other SDAs who have reconcilled with the Catholic Church.

The SDA church has one of the most agressive and successful evangelizing programs of any denomination, and the core strength of that evangelism is convincing people of the requirement to observe saturday, and the anti-christ nature of the Catholic Church. So I would urge all Catholics who read this thread to pass the word around to every and all Cathlolics you know to avoid SDA Revelation or Prophecy seminars.

I would also be glad to talk to anyone you know who is considering joining the SDA church. The first two web sites in my signature line are also very good resources created by former SDAs who are not Catholic.

I really do pray every day for the health, safety, success, and eternal life of all SDAs, and I would encourge Catholics to pray the Rosary for them!

Andrea, no one here is trying to attack you. I really wish you would go back through your posts and see how venomous they are. Some of them are so ugly, they’re hard to read.

All of us no matter what we believe or where we go to church will have sinners in our churches such as the priests you call to mind. I wish it weren’t true, but I’m sure there are sinners in your churches as well. Why would you say something like that when more than likely you have the same going on in your church? It doesn’t hit the news as much because you are not catholic and catholics are always in the media for something. But that’s okay because our sinners and their sins are brought into the light and that is what God commands.

Will you say a prayer for me?

Will you ask God to help me to see your point and I will do the same.

Do you understand english very well? You keep misunderstanding and misinterpreting all that I say. I say one thing, you imply another, I explain, and you insist on your interpretation. It is frustrating that I have to actually explain that your insults regarding priests is insulting because you make no difference between those that have committed evil and those that haven’t. You imply all priests are bad, can you see the difference now. Secondly, I never asked for God’s blessing of the anti christ, I asked for blessings on the Pope. You are reading your own interpretation into what I say because you are convinced that the Pope is the antichrist. That is not my problem per se, but it is when you state that I blaspheme. So I would suggest you brush up on your english before you accuse me of something I did not say or mean. It is not my fault you do not understand fully the language we are writing in.

When Christ said, “Get thee behind me satan”. Was he talking to Peter or satan? He was talking to satan, not Peter. That’s why I made the comment. You jumped to conclusions because you know what you’ve been saying is evil.

And I do believe satan is behind the language you use here. Hence the thread about Doug and his attacks. Is he satan? No, but the language he uses is all satan.

I clearly showed you in my statement what I meant .I do not think that all priests are bad but the ones who did evil and the ones who protected them. Call me evil for thinking the way I do,I think the same way as media,or judge who sent the priest to jail and the way the victims do and if you are on the side of justice you should think as I do which will not make you SDA the very minute you call the evil thing the evil thing. Do you get me now? My problem is not that you say things you did mean and do not mean and use words GOD blessings and Antichrist in a manner you do and later you want to explain what you meant and did not mean. Let us not bring that again for it is you who will or will not be answering for your words. I pray that you do understand what I mean and understand the verse when it says that we will be responsible for every reckless word. What do I need for my salvation. Do that…and then dedicate time for reading His Holy Word,look in the Bible for wonderful promises to His people. Do not have radio turned on,nor your TV,this is time for You and Your friend and Savior Jesus Christ. Maybe things in your life will start to change. Listen to your conscience. Dedicate these few weeks for you and Jesus. Leave out for this time,this few weeks, Mary and the saints,let it be just You and Your Savior. Is it that so hard. Nobody tells you to go and worship Satan,there is no danger in what I tell you. Satan will try to drive you away from this,there will be phones ringing,guests coming,children screaming,loads of work and maybe all sorts of things that will try to distract you…Do not do that just for the sake of trying it but because you want to get to know Jesus personally in your life,because you want the blessings He promised. Cherish those moments with Jesus and trust He is standing right next to you and hears every word you say every thought you think. He knows of your burdens before you will say anything but He wants you to say the things burdening you to show the faith that He can really hear you. He is always there. Try to stay away from violent stuff,violent movies,stuff that poison the Spirit in you and drive you away from God especially during these few weeks.Sometimes that is hard because we fight with our own desires and that is the hardest battle ever. Be determined. Say ,let Your will be done in my life not my own will. Is it not hard to let Jesus take the wheel of our vehicle/body?
Jesus will not be able to wash our sins if we are not ready and willing to stop “bathing” in them. We may have load of sins but as He said to some :go and sin no more ,He will do the same thing with us if we believe and if we ask that of Him and open our soul : Father in heaven I did commit the sin and my soul is unclean but I am willing to change and follow your Son,the Lamb,wherever He may lead,please forgive me in Jesus name Your Son and Savior I pray. Amen.
Jeremiah 31;34 For I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more.

I do not feel guilty about anything I said there. What was wrong with that post. Calling you to pray to Jesus and read the Bible? To make personal relationship with Jesus? Have you even read that post of mine,be honest,did you? How can you call me evil for my sincere calling you and I include myself too to something like that. I do not call anyone on any evil thing to do or I did not say you should leave your church. How can you be so unfair? I did not jump into any conclusions for I asked the writer of the post to explain the meaning of the post and he did showing the manner of his words.
