Dr. Anthony Fauci dismissed concerns about conducting the upcoming election in the era of the Chinese coronavirus — and in-person voting, particularly — stating in an interview on Thursday that there is “no reason why we shouldn’t be able to vote, in person or otherwise.”

Fauci, in an interview with National Geographic , did not dismiss the idea of voting in person on November 3 . . .

If you can shop at a grocery store, you can vote in person.

There’s a line. Wait in it. Let in the ‘acceptable’ number of people. This tragedy has become a farce.

The alternatives involve a massive potential for fraud. Grocery store workers haven’t been dropping like flies, the risk is severely exaggerated by the media and legislators with a vested interest. CDC numbers show that the ED visits for covid symptoms are currently 2.1% of visits. The average age of hospitalizations is now in the 30s, the stay is shorter and the symptoms less severe. The ‘crisis’ is manufactured, for political reasons. I’ve been eating at restaurants, drinking at bars and going about life pretty much as normal for the last two months. Still alive, as is everyone I’ve been interacting with. Don’t be ruled by fear, take sensible precautions, and get back to being a free human being.

God Bless

Thbolt . . .
We’ve seen lines at primary sites.
So what?

Spread them out.

We’ve seen disasters with primary mailing too.
And our Republic is too valuable to give up for bogus reasons.

Thbolt. . . .
No one is giving up the Republic.
I will remember that when leftists are whining about “Trump” and some other ridiculous claims over stealing an election
after he defeats the abortion team (Biden-Harris this time) again by a wide margin.

November wasn’t known for its clement weather any other election year. Suddenly the pearl clutching this year, I wonder why. Election integrity is important. Mail in votes are a well documented farce. Just look at NYC primary ballots. 84,000 ruled inadmissible, out of 403,000! Sorry, but I don’t trust that system.

In Friday interview with the Washington Post , Dr. Anthony Fauci said he plans to vote in-person for November’s presidential election. . . .

More mail-in problems already in primaries that even leftist PA Governor admits . . .

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf (D) asked the state’s Supreme Court to extend the deadline for mail-in votes to be counted after the U.S. Postal Service warned that some ballots may not make the Election Day deadline. . . .

Depends on the conditions. I would have no problem doing it. At some other voting places the people had to wait outside for up to 7 hours. During that time the density of people became high.

Not all of the voters will experience the same conditions.

The problem isn’t just USPS. They can’t be fixed in 80 days, they’ve admitted as much. The problem is far deeper. Voting should be in person, with ID. There are no real checks with mail in voting. As I said earlier, 20% of the NYC primary mail in ballots were inadmissible. That’s a lot of discarded votes. Hence the farce. Maybe we should adopt Iowa’s system. That worked well.

Also, these weather conditions that have you so concerned don’t apply to large parts of the country. And in Democrat controlled cities, the fires from the ‘peaceful protest’ will keep you warm.

20% inadmissible. I’m glad you don’t have a problem.

Wear a coat, just like you did every other election. If you live in the north, you have one.

Putting your hands in front of your eyes does not strengthen your argument. I am not responsible for your education Sir. Read them and find out. To summarize, should reading prove troublesome, the main issues in NYC were missing signatures (blamed on a badly designed form), missing postmarks and arriving late (blamed on USPS getting more volume they’d seen since email became a thing).

The wider issues include the unreliability of voter registration info (people registered in more than one state is estimated at 2.7 million) and the ability for people other than the intended recipient to fill out the forms.

Without election integrity we’re doomed. Every time legitimacy is undermined the system suffers. Mail in voting is, as documented, a farce. Voting should be in person, with ID proving you are a citizen. There will always be special cases, such as troops serving abroad, expats, etc. But these should be the exception rather than the rule.

It’s bedtime here, feel free to emit some final words that justifies your intransigence.

Here is how Kentucky is going to do it…

"Details of the plan include:

Absentee ballot by mail
  • Kentuckians concerned with contracting or spreading COVID-19 can request a ballot by mail.
  • An online portal will launch within the week to allow Kentuckians to request a ballot by mail. Ballots can be requested through the portal through Oct. 9, and through traditional means after.
  • Mail ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, Nov. 3, and received by Nov. 6.
  • Drop boxes will be available for Kentuckians to return their mail ballots if they are concerned about postal delays. County clerks will determine these locations.
Early voting
  • Beginning Oct. 13, three weeks before the election, every work day between Oct. 13 and Election Day, and every Saturday for at least four hours, every county clerk will provide a location for safe in-person voting.
  • Early voting is not absentee voting – anyone can vote early for any reason.
Election Day voting
  • County election officials will decide election sites on Election Day. The State Board of Elections, Secretary of State and Governor will approve each plan.
  • Every county will have at least one voting super-center, where everyone from the county can go to vote, regardless of his or her precinct.
Voter identification
  • Kentuckians who were unable to get a driver’s licenses or photo ID due to the pandemic because their clerk’s office was closed, or because they were afraid of exposing themselves to COVID-19, can sign a document explaining this concern and cast their ballot."
Options galore. I plan to use the drop box method. No hassles, no waiting in line, no parking issues, no worries about the post office.

That’s IF there is a write-in option on the ballot. No way I’m going to vote for Trump or Biden.

The alternatives involve a massive potential for fraud.
Unproven allegation.
The ‘crisis’ is manufactured, for political reasons.
The crisis is real, for valid medical and ethical reasons.
I’ve been eating at restaurants, drinking at bars and going about life pretty much as normal for the last two months.
Your experience is not shared by the 160,000 Americans dead from covid-19.
Don’t be ruled by fear,
…especially don’t be ruled by fear of fraud in mail-in voting.
Every time legitimacy is undermined the system suffers.
Then please tell Mr. Trump to stop undermining legitimacy.

And many grocery stores offer online ordering and pickup at the store. Mine even has me open the trunk before the groceries are brought to the car and then close it when the deliverer has walked away,
