Drinking Non alcholic beers?

It may be the case that there are some exceptions–one would need to check.

The question at hand in that deleted post is not about Catholic or Protestant or what should be or not be --but what is the law. According to that gov. site -it is illegal.

Certainly the min. drinking age is 21.

But as I noted there may be exceptions (like holidays? etc) one would have to check.
 
Well in Canada drinking laws differ. Legal age is 19 in Ontario and 18 in Alberta.

And at 0.4% alcohol O’Douls et al it doesn’t qualify as an alcoholic drink - it’s sold here in super markets rather than the government regulated liquor stores.

As to “non- alcoholic drinks” legality for under aged persons (in the US or some State in the Union…) – I honestly ran across a site not long ago that said such was the case --I do not know where etc but it surprised me.

I was discussing US law…see the my posts…

(As to Canada – right your not a State – your a territorial possession of the United States we just have not been enforcing it lately… 😉 just kidding ;)…put the musket away hee hee …were nice neighbors …and remember you can always say “your Country is beneath us” …but as I said we are both nice neighbors --fellow “North Americans” in the continental sense…)

Meaning things that have very low amount of bear --“near beer” and the like.

Maybe somebody with some time can do a search -I have not been able to find it again…

and I got to sleep.
 
For an adult it’s about as “sinful” as drinking a cup of coffee (read–not a sin.) If you’d be in violation of the law, or if your parents said not to drink it, it would be more of a sin against the fourth commandment than anything else. In itself, nonalcoholic beer isn’t sinful for Catholics to consume, though why anyone would really want to (unless they like the taste for some reason,) I have no idea!

I’d check the calorie count of the stuff, though. Sounds like it’s really fattening.

Oh my, what a blast from the past. I remember drinking a shandy when I was just a young girl. I was maybe 10. It was the only way I would have ever had a beer. I hate the smell, but add some ginger ale…yum. Thanks for bringing back the memories. :curtsey:

The reason they burnt it down? All the Whitehouse had on tap was Bud! When the intrepid Canucks read that Bud is 70% rice water!!! their manhood was insulted on behalf of American men everywhere, and so they burnt it down as a sign of collegiality!



Not even Japanese or Chinese beers are made of rice!

Unless you live in Labrador, where beer is sold at the corner store but O’Douls and Texas Select (blech!) require a trip to the liquor store. 🤷
