Drinking Non alcholic beers?

Thank you all so much! I got a smile going on a few of the posts, but thank you for clarifiying some things. I know drinking alcohol in moderation isnt a sin, its getting drunk that is. 👍

Mainstream American beer is pretty bad but since the micro-brews came into their own I’d argue that we have some of the best beer in both selection and quality (at least in the cities). My favorite beers tend to be British pub ale type beers though (Tetley’s: :love: )

I always wondered what a shandy is. If you can get your hands on some birch beer, that goes really well when mixed with beer.

yep I would also consider drinking things like bud light miller light, and other beers like that to be a sin I mean come on those bear may as well just be called beer flavored water.

The only thing I drink is Corona with a lime wedge. Re.fresh.ing.

As a former Racine County, WI deputy sheriff I’ll update you (at least as it applies to my state):

Non-alcoholic beer is LEGALLY non-alcoholic (despite the fact many do have a small amount of alcohol in them). You do not need to be of age in this state to purchase it.

A minor of ANY AGE (0-20) may legally drink with his or her 1) parent, 2) legal guardian, or 3) spouse of legal drinking age. This includes a bar (Wisconsin is pretty rare in this…most states limit you to a private residence).

Instead of linking just websites (and most of them tend to ignore the exemptions to avoid “confusing” people), here’s our actual statute:

125.07 Underage and intoxicated persons; presence on licensed premises; possession; penalties.
125.07(1)(1) Alcohol beverages; restrictions relating to underage persons.
125.07(1)(a)(a)Restrictions.
125.07(1)(a)1.1. No person may procure for, sell, dispense or give away any alcohol beverages to any underage person not accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or spouse who has attained the legal drinking age.
