Satire, it’s satire XD As far as this hypothetical is concerned, the types of people who would use it would probably put the Eucharist in their purses to eat it with something else later that morning.
You took things to the next level and will be banned.

Satire aside…this made me cringe!

No offense or irreverence is intended. It is meant merely as a modest proposal.

I hope you’re being sarcastic…what a terrible disrespectful, not to mention Sacrilegious thing to suggest! Sounds a little Protestant like…I remember reading a story of someone quitting a protestant church when they basically started a self serve “communion” table…right next to coffee and rolls.

It’s SATIRE… this is like the sixth time that’s been said >_> Of course he’s not being serious.

Satire should be in The Water Cooler forum, rather than this one. That is why many people are commenting the way they are.

That was great!

btw: could offer Starbucks at the same time as a fundraiser…

Don’t even suggest it. Somebody will get ideas. After all they have driveup weddings in Vegas.

I have a vision of someone receiving the Body of Christ in one hand and a cell phone or ciggy in the other.

I think many or most would use it but I think it is an absolutely atrocious idea.

The limited poll results thus far are interesting, at any rate.

Could we get combo deals to go along with this? Confession and Eucharist, 2-for-1! Could even put up a confession menu, so instead of having to think of your sins yourself, you just reach out and press the appropriate buttons on the screen. The priest says the words of absolution and then presses a button, which dispenses a little prefilled cup with attached wafer, like this:

http://www.concordiasupply.com/core...8ea0d1e07&resizeid=-2&resizeh=300&resizew=300

Of course, we’d have to have a factory for making all of these. Get a bunch of priests together to constantly say the words of consecration over the outgoing shipments. Just have a priest bless each truckload before it gets shipped out - if you position him right he should be able to get his hands over everything.

Yes, we actually had cups like that at my (protestant) undergrad.

I don’t think I can count how many sacrileges were just enumerated in your post.

This post, which,no doubt was meant to be a satire on the "busy Catholic! However it has evolved into something sacreligous. It needs to be closed.
