Duke Lacrosse Case Charges to Be Dropped

This was a news item I decided not to follow. It was just too obvious that the issue was very muddied, and not at all as clear cut as some of the loud talkers were making it out to be.

It was the kind of thing best left to the courtroom to determine the truths and falsehoods involved.
 
Its about time, that whole situation was fishy from the get go.

There will follow lawsuits by the families of those young men. Their faces were splattered all over the globe and print media. This caused an enormous amount of pain and suffrering and character defamation.

Huge monetary awards will be pursued. Even Jesse Jackson’s involvemment could be scrutinized.

Maybe an apology from the accuser might soften what is to come.
 
I would like the see the District Procecutor (more like Persecutor) be brought up on charges. This should of been over in a week.

To which the district attorney replied
Nifong was out of town and could not immediately be reached for comment. But his lawyer, David Freedman, said: “If further investigation showed the boys were innocent, he would be in agreement with what the attorney general’s office decided to do.”

He still doesn’t get it. I think his trial by the bar association is scheduled for June.
 
How long will it take for the lacrosse players to get their reputations back?
 
Where are all the civil rights leaders now? Why aren’t they demanding the prosecuters head on a plate, ala Imus? They only worry about certain peoples civil right, I guess. These boys will carry scars from this all the rest of their lives.

Well, I don’t know about that. If the person who has to eat it is not in line with the liberal media than he has to eat more than once before he is forgiven if ever. But if he is part of the liberal media he will never be expected to eat it.
 
Now, now, let’s not forget our indoctrination: it’s not the evidence that matters but “the seriousness of the accusation” - no one who belongs to the “absolutely guilty until exhaustively proven innocent” class of Americans has a right to read the carved logo on the Supreme Court Building “Equal Justice under the Law” and expect that this has anything to do with THEM, because as WE ALL HAVE BEEN TOLD, “they” belong to THOSE PEOPLE, the ones who must be held perpetually accountable for crimes committed 140 some years ago by people they weren’t related to but happen to LOOK like.

And this, we’re told “is the solution to racism”. Uh huh.

The most impacting words from the NC Attorney general were not “…dropping the case” but rather “…THEY ARE INNOCENT”. He did not merely say “not guilty” he declared them “INNOCENT.”

That is the keyword that will be the spearhead for litigation. Most probably to be sued first is Nifong, naturally. Others will also be sued including the City of Durham.

The young men will be enrichened monetarily for a book deal and very possibly a movie.

Nifong will be exiled from law practice and the co-conspirator (the lab chief) in withholding exculpatory non-existant DNA will also find himself in a civil suit. This “non-case” should have been over in a week; not a year later.

“Pain and suffering” was/is great and the sky is the limit. The lawsuits will forge ahead long before any ancillary pursuits like book deals, etc.

There could be a case against Rev. Jesse Jackson as well for his injection into this ruse for his public comments condemning the young men a year ago. Maybe he’ll make a cash settlement with the young men and avoid an abrasive court case. They would be the logical thing to do.

Nifong could and should do some prison time, as should the accuser. She has made it harder for women who really are raped to prove their case. This case reminds me of the Tawanda Brawley case in N.Y. some years ago where Al Sharpton made some anti-white statements that he has never appologised for.

Jesse Jackson will never be held accountable for what he said. He has never appologised for calling New York ‘hymie town’. The closest he came was when he said that his remark was not meant to be a public statement. Even if he is ever made to pay it will not come out of his pocket. It will come from Rainbow-Push. As far as I can determine he has never held a real job in his life.

You mean their reputation for having a party that included underage drinking and hiring a stripper? And no one ever denied that racial slurs were used.
I think what happened to these boys is terrible but lets not forget that they may have been innocent of the charges but they were not angels…they obviously placed themselves in a sinful situation and ultimately it lead to some very unfortunate circumstances…
Maybe now they’ll clean up their lives and live a little more morally.

I’ll bet that I am not the only person here who is guilty of underage drinking and going to a strip club in my youth. I would not have wanted that to become public knowledge and to follow me the rest of my life. There must have been times in your life that you committed a sin and would not have wanted it to become national news.
 
The point is, if the color of their skin - or their religion - had been different, the state, the Media, the university, et.al. would not have been EAGER and hungry to hype the event, the accusation, or “the story” before “all the evidence” was amassed.

If a story was run in the local paper they would be identified merely as “some youth” not “Priviledged youth” with all the typical adverbs and adjectives lined up to create the impression that they’re evil as sin and deserve to be hung, drawn and quartered.

There would not have been spontaneous faculty and student candle vigils where one and all put on sack cloth and ashes to bewail the rise of “the great evil” in our midst.

No, we wouldn’t have even heard the story until after a verdict was given in a distinctly uneventful trial.

And that’s just the sad insanity of our so-called “progressive age” where facts of the matter don’t matter so much as advancing the agenda of the Pop-culture at all cost.

Thus it’s enough for a MOST-FAVORED MINORITY person to accuse someone for that person to IMMEDIATELY be branded “guilty” and persecuted; but when a MOST-FAVORED MINORITY person is actually video-taped or caught in the very act of a “hate crime” against the MOST-UNFAVORED MAJORITY, not only do people trip over themselves to NOT report the news, they then trip overthemselves to NOT call the offense a “hate crime” and we’re all lectured to on the need for calm, patience, and “let the police do their job”.

Which is all well and good and that’s how it SHOULD BE, FOR EVERYONE but it’s not. We’ve exchanged one unthinking, knee-jerk racism for another unthinking, knee-jerk racism and call it ‘progress’.
