Dutch Christians object to EU emblem because of relation to Mary

I’m not really concerned about the Protestant objection to the emblem, but I find this very interesting:

According to the Vatican newspaper l’Osservatore Romano, the designer of the emblem, Arsene Heitz, said he got the idea from 19th Century reports of apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Paris.

So the European Union emblem is from the twelve stars in the halo of Mary?

No it just resembles it- so being good anti- catholics they read a whole bunch of stuff not there! Good job guys:thumbsup:
