Hi you all,
St Paul said āDonāt eat food sacrificed to an idol.ā 1 Corinthians 10:28. There isnāt anything currently in the Catechism about abstaining from certain foods but itās in the New Testament. Chocolate may have originated as sacrificial food to Ek Chuah, the cocoa God of the Mayans and Aztecans. This is covered up by Cadburyās, Lindt and other chocolate corporations. Chocolate poisoning can be dangerous to the elderly, the sick and the unborn. White chocolate and rubbish chocolate is safer than high cocoa content chocolate, but youāre wiser buying toffee, fudge, biscuits and cakes at Easter.
āThe amount of theobromine found in chocolate is small enough that chocolate can generally be safely consumed by humans. However occasional serious side effects may result from the consumption of large quantities, especially in the elderly.[1] In extreme cases, emergency room treatment may be required.[2]ā
