Fresh fruit can be arranged on a tray in the shape of a cross to look something like a stained glass window. Lay out pineapple in the shape of a cross, the fill around it with groups of berries, grapes, melons, etc.

We always buy butter that is shaped like a lamb to go with the bread. I’m not sure if you can find it anywhere except a store that had Polish foods.
👍

This is awesome. I may have to seek it out!

To make your own butter, you can just buy whipping cream and put it in a stand mixer with a whipping attachment. Turn it on high and let it do its thang. (If you add a bit of powdered sugar and vanilla, you can stop when it reaches stiff peaks and you have whipped cream way better than storebought.) You could add a bit of salt or honey or other flavoring to suit your needs.

We make an Easter cheese bread that is really good (family recipe, but similar to this.)

We also do leg of lamb in the crock pot with basically this recipe. We add brown mustard to the marinade.

We’re serving the lamb with roasted red potatoes and sour beans (steamed green beans with bacon, a bit of flour, salt, pepper, and lots of vinegar - it’s my husband’s favorite thing in the world for holiday dinners).

For dessert I’m making pineapple upside down cake and also serving an Irish cream cheesecake I found at Aldi.
Yum!! Thank you for all the great suggestions!

In the Byzantine/Eastern tradition, sweet bread is served on different occasions, including Pascha. In fact, the bread served during Easter is appropriately named “paska”. However, this upcoming holy season is not the only time sweet bread is popular.

(Indeed, at Vesperal Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Circumcision, our priest blessed sweet bread near the end of liturgy and served it to the faithful while anointing the faithful when we approached.)

Here is some information about paska bread.

We are making roast lamb with garlic, rosemary and mint jelly. Also roasted red potatoes and green bean casserole (with the French’s onions and cream of mushroom soup). I liked the baked apples idea that others have mentioned!

Do not serve kale to anyone with heart trouble. It makes blood thinners ineffective. Also ham is way too high in sodium. :o

I grilled lamb. I don’t think that a leg of lamb costs more than a good ham.

I’m not aware of any member of my family being on blood thinners, but thanks for the tip.
