I was just curious, the Protestant reformation always seems to be in context of the West between the Catholic Church and reformers. Did anything like this ever occur in Eastern Orthodoxy? Did the Protestant reformation spread to the eastern churches as well?

The Reformation is an essentially Western phenomenon that could only flourish in its predominant theological lens. After all, most of Luther’s 95 objections are about Western theology, not Eastern.

Keep in mind, the East had their share of major heresies to address during the earlier of centuries of the Church.

So while Protestantism is a Western issue that never reached the East, they had their own issues to deal with.

Yes, but most of Protestantism rejects the sacraments and the priesthood as both Catholics and Orthodox know it.

While Protestantism is focused on Western theology, it does reject a lot of what the Eastern Churches believe too.

No, there has been no major schism in the eastern Church like there was in the western Church. There have been some small break away groups throughout the centuries, like that of the Russian Old Believers and some Independent Orthodox Churches breaking away, but aside for that nothing as big as the Protestantism has happened in the east.
