Yes, men are better than women… at certain things; conversely, women are better than men… at certain things; since we were both Created in the image of Yahweh God (and since God does not differentiate on physical appearance/attributes) in Him we find the greatest equalizer: men and women are equal in God’s Mind… so the fact that the sexes have different attributes and abilities does not negate the fact that both, man and woman, enjoy the same indeniable right given to us by the Creator.

I hope you realize that this statement contradicts other posts you have made in this thread.

I think not… but if you believe so, please show me how I have contradicted myself.

Well, this post for one.
Where you agree with the sentiment that god is male (and presumably that maleness is more godly):

Re: If Feminist Christians decide that it’s okay to call the Holy Spirit “Sophia” and use feminine pronouns, then by that same logic….

You cannot have different sexes assigned to one triune God. If the three are one, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, then they are all male. It makes no sense to assign a feminine soul to Jesus who was God Incarnate and a male. That denies God’s true nature. God cannot and will not deceive or pretend to be something that He is not. God therefore is not female, and should never be assigned a feminine title. The bible states this very clearly, over and over again in Scripture and verse.

I think you have included posts other than mine… still from my posts you will find that I state what Scriptures state: Yahweh God Reveals Himself as a Male Persona… ditto the Son… ditto the Holy Spirit

This fact, of course, does not necesitate the perception that the male of the species is granted superior status over his female counterpart (which I have never stated here and in any thread in any site that I’ve ever visited).

…this new (well, new to me) trend of personifying God as a female is as anti-Biblical as it can get… basically, it contends that God is not Who or What He has Revealed Himself to Be but who/what the beholder chooses to make of God… quite hollowoodsy!

…as for presuming that maleness is more godly… you seem to be rendering my posts in a chauvanist light… please re-read my posts and you will find that I am holding issues not with social gender bias (male vs. female) but with Scriptural rendering of God’s Revelation…

No, it naturally leads to that conclusion (if you take the argument to its logical extreme).

For example, here’s an article by a Protestant pastor talking about how there are no women in heaven (good woman are transformed into men after they die). Because the male gender is obviously so much more godly than the female one.

This is not a new idea.
Saint Paul’s passages in the Bible can easily be read to support female inferiority (especially in a spiritual sense) and have often been done so. Frankly I think that’s a more intellectually credible reading of saying that Man is created in the Image of God, but Woman is created in the Image of Man, than the official Church interpretation.

Moreover, many saints thought of women as intellectually, emotionally, and in some cases even spiritually inferior. Including notable Church figures such as Saint Aquinas.

…I’ll take your word for it (sorry I refuse to sample what I consider to be pure fallacy)… it is easy to derail one’s self from God’s path since we contain a central mechanism that is purely egocentric… that is why Jesus cautioned that anyone who did not give up (“hate” in some versions) wife/husband, mother/father, children, self, etc. could not be His Disciple…

Though it is true that Christ clarified that in Heaven there will not be the same relationships (husband-wife) as on earth since we would be as angels… not once did Jesus intimate that Heaven would be a place full of masculine personas… Catholic theology employes both sexes in the devotion of the Saints… and while hollowood preaches that females must become/inherit the male sexual organs in order to be accepted and respected… that is based on a dismissive and oppressive vision: male good - female bad.

…the only way such conclusions can come about is through extremist views of temporal values:
26 And as well as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how to pray properly, then the Spirit personally makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words; 27 and he who can see into all hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spirit makes for God’s holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God. (Romans 8:26-27)
17 And if you address as Father him who judges without favouritism according to each individual’s deeds, live out the time of your exile here in reverent awe. (1 St. Peter 1:17)
If God looks not into external values… why would He then demand that all be male creatures? How would a sexual status, an extinct one at that, demonstrate an elevation for the female of the species?

…it is interesting that many cite St. Paul as their support for female oppression/inferiority… they seem to forget that while he pronounced that the wife had to obey the husband he commanded that the husband must immitate Christ and give his life for his wife… he even went as far as to explain that though man is the crown of the woman, the male of the species does not have a superior status over the female becaise though woman came from man (Adam and Ever), it is women who bring forth life onto the world…

…has the Church emulated many of society’s ills… yeah; racial and sexual discrimantion were two major ones… but it has been the Church rather than atheists and secularists that has championed against both errors… both sicknesses are still in the world and the Church continues to battle them!

As I have looked for the core meanings on feminism it is described here from an excerpt of a discussion in www.gotquestions.org

" What are the issues of feminism? Feminism is a counterfeit solution to the real issue of the inequality of women in a sinful society. Feminism arrogates to itself the right to demand respect and equality in every aspect of life. Feminism is based in arrogance, and it is the opposite of the call to the born-again believer to be a servant. The actions of the modern, militant feminists are geared to cause women to rise up and rebel against the order that God has given to mankind. That brand of feminism seeks to impose humanistic solutions that are in direct opposition to the Word of God. Feminism was originally a positive movement, focused on giving women the basic rights God intends for every human being to have. Tragically, feminism has gone past those roots to focus on destroying any trace of a distinction in roles between men and women"

Any kind of ‘ism’ is a seperation, a schism from the originally intended belief system.

To further illustrate what kinds of things isms have brought forth.
‘‘What then should be the view of a Christian about feminism? A believing woman, who is seeking to obey God and walk in peace and grace, should remember that she has equal access to all spiritual blessings in Christ. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28). A believing woman should not allow herself to be a pawn in the worldly agenda of the feminist movement. Men and women have a God-given privilege to fulfill the plan He has set for us. Rebellion against that plan and the arrogance that seeks to put self above God’s Word result in very difficult consequences. We see those consequences in the destruction of the relationship between husbands and wives, the destruction of the family, and the loss of respect for human life.’’

And in putting ones self above God’s Word is not a good thing at all.

No it doesn’t.
These days conservative Christians usually complain that Hollywood and the TV channels cast most men in a bad light and women as the competent ones.

What reason is there to believe that the Christian God doesn’t look into external values?
…because Salvation is not of the most intelligent, more macho, more powerful, more sensual, more capable, more popular…

Salvation belongs to those who choose Christ as their Lord and Savior and humbly submit to His Will.

The proud is rejected and discarded.

WHERE does Saint Paul say that?
If the verse is in the Bible cite it.
Here it is:
21 Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22 Wives should be subject to their husbands as to the Lord, 23 since, as Christ is head of the Church and saves the whole body, so is a husband the head of his wife; 24 and as the Church is subject to Christ, so should wives be to their husbands, in everything. 25 Husbands should love their wives, just as Christ loved the Church and sacrificed himself for her 26 to make her holy by washing her in cleansing water with a form of words, 27 so that when he took the Church to himself she would be glorious, with no speck or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and faultless. 28 In the same way, husbands must love their wives as they love their own bodies; for a man to love his wife is for him to love himself. 29 A man never hates his own body, but he feeds it and looks after it; and that is the way Christ treats the Church, 30 because we are parts of his Body. 31 This is why a man leaves his father and mother and becomes attached to his wife, and the two become one flesh. 32 This mystery has great significance, but I am applying it to Christ and the Church. 33 To sum up: you also, each one of you, must love his wife as he loves himself; and let every wife respect her husband. (Ephisians 5:21-33)
and:
11 However, in the Lord, though woman is nothing without man, man is nothing without woman; 12 and though woman came from man, so does every man come from a woman, and everything comes from God. (1 Corinthians 11:11-12)

If the the early Feminists had not rebelled against the natural/godly order, then they never would have achieved any rights at all for women.
…well lets see… the Church champions education and human value and equal personhood… the feminists champion free sex, equality of sex, self-sex, woman can exist without man, the world is better under woman rule… oh… yeah… mass murder of children in their mom’s womb to promote woman health; …have you heard what has been happening in China, India and other places in the world where females are treated as trash as they are discarded through selective abortions, infanticide and abandonment? …heard what the feminists have done in the last couple of decades to combat female genocide?

…can you be more specific… are you speaking about my observation of hollowood?

Maran atha!

Angel
Yes.

In TV and movies (especially comedies) beautiful, competent, and intelligent women are often paired up with stupid male slobs and this is regarded as normal.
The men embarrass themselves and the women have to clean up the metaphorical mess (because the men can’t or won’t) and this is treated as normal.

The ancient Israelites (supposedly God’s Chosen People) were certainly proud if the Bible is anything to go by.
