Oh Lord, how little you know about Catholicism if you even have to ask that question.

If you’ve ever been to a Mass - THE only compulsory prayer for Catholics - or even read the wording of it (which is one thing I suggest you do if you actually want any sort of understanding of our faith) there are no prayers to Mary in it. Not a one. Zip zero nada nil zilch.

But IF you want to obey Christ’s command to ‘love one another as I have loved you’ you will at least stop insulting us for trying (as if we could ever succeed!) to love her and honour her as much as he did.

Well how else do you think Satan wins souls if he’s not able to be around when we’re at our most vulnerable? Sounds an awful lot like omnipresence to me.

In any event I was merely making a point that Satan is at least as powerful as the Blessed Virgin or the Saints in this regard, doesn’t mean he or they are divine.

St Paul claims that he knew the word of God fully.
Col.1:25 I became its servant according to God’s commission that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, 26 the mystery that has been hidden throughout the ages and generations but has now been revealed to his saints.

Supplications are to be made FOR all men. Does the Magisterium tell you that supplications are to be made TO all men?

But by implication it means that all members of the Body of Christ are to offer those intercessions.

If you desire to pray to dead people, who are not omnipresent, then I cannot change your mind.

If you had a real case then perhaps I’d be moved by it, but you have offered exactly squat so far. Besides one wouldn’t have to be ominipresent to simple respond to requests for intercessory prayer if one is already in heaven and therefor outside of time. If God wills that those in heaven intercede for those still running the race (I’ve never seen “witnsesses” (fans) of a race sit there stoically, why would the saints do less for those of us still running a race that has such eternal consequences?
Moreover, Our Lord Himself tells us that God is not the God of the dead but of the living. (Mt 22:32, Mk 12:27, Lk 20:38). So…who is right you… or the Lord Jesus Christ?

No. Just respect her. Supporting a claim that she’s a devil is not that kind of respect. Plus… Self-righteousness and arrogance would surely not be acceptable as siding with Jesus.

I am not trying to stop you to pray to Mary. I would like to know if loving and honouring Mary is against the first commandment, where we are instructed to honour and love God with all our strenght. If you are honouring God with all your strenght, how do you have strenght left to honour Mary?

I have a relationship with Jesus.

Groovy…can you show us any passage of the Word of God that uses these terms for our salvation experiences? I don’t think so. Now whose going beyond the Word of God?

Look at him throw dust in the air rather than actually talk to you. If I recall right that was one of the favorite tricks of the people who rejected the Gospel. Diversion, avoidance…anything to keep from dealing with the fact that he has no real answers.

How do I love my mother AND my father AND my siblings AND each of my best friends - AS WELL AS Mary AS WELL AS the Saints AS WELL AS God - and love EACH of them utterly - ‘to the height and depth and breadth of my being’ as Elizabeth Barrett Browning put it so poetically.

Love isn’t portioned up into bits like a cake where if one person gets a big slice everyone else’s must necessarily be smaller. Nor is honour, respect or any emotion.

Jesus also made her the mother of John, an apostle of Christ. You’re higher than John as to treat her as only a “woman”?

Actually, He called her Mom most of the time…So do I!! And I get more than a little testy when somebody is rude & disrespectful to my mother…

To apply this thought process to its logical conclusion then we would have no love left to give our children or family.
