It is good that there are prosecutions for wrong doing.
I am really struck though that first of all, a Cardinal owns an apartment where 400,000 euros of renovations are being done, secondly that he doesn’t know where the money is coming from to pay for it and thirdly that he has 150, 000 spare euros that he can donate to the hospital.
A problem I have with left wing politics is that ‘community funds’ become ‘nobody’s funds’ becomes ‘might as well be mine funds’. I had expected the church to be above that kind of thinking but I may have to re-assess my position.
