As I have shared before, I have not had meaningful work in over a year. This is getting very scary financially. Here is my problem: There is a company in town that is looking for a very unique skill set that I actually have. I was positive I would at least get an interview. I applied well over 3 weeks ago and hear nothing.
I have had 2 employment recruiters want to present my resume to the organization. However, since I have applied on my own, they are not allowed. I heard yesterday from one recruiter they have not filled the position because they have not found anyone who fits the bill. I find that very odd because on paper, I am a perfect fit.
I suspect my resume got lost in the pile. And I am very nervous about that. If I had an interview and they did not feel I was a fit after the interview, as disappointing as it would be, I would at least know it is not because my resume got lost in the pile. But right now, I can’t help but think something is fishy.
I have followed up with human resources via email and did not hear back. So I called and spoke to HR. This lady told me that after she sends the resumes to the hiring manager, she has nothing to do with the process. She said she would forward my email address and have the hiring manager contact me. I semi suspect she may just be saying that to get rid of me.
So… as much as I want to trust God will lead me to the job He has in mind for me, I can’t just sit back and do nothing. If the reality is, my working there is NOT God’s will, I want to accept it. However, I do not sense God leading me elsewhere and I do suspect God wants me working. So I have no idea what else I can do.
There is one person I know inside the company but he said he was not comfortable mentioning my name to the hiring manager and I want to respect his boundary. The only other person I semi know in the company is in a totally different department and I do not know him well. I can’t help but feel it would be awkward to ask him for help.
So… I have not idea where to go from here. If anyone has any suggestion, I would be grateful. Also, prayers would be appreciated
