I’m 28. I was born before this trend. They have told me outright that 'We found a name change from a male name. We cannot have this sort of individual in our organization because we cannot let you use the facilities. We have to let you go"

There was NO QUESTION that they didn’t know.
So they just randomly, after hiring you…decided to do a background check just for the He@@ of it and their letting you go had nothing to do with performance or need to cut back costs or any other such reason and this you are certain of in ALL cases?

I’m curious…why not simply NOT hire you…cause usually the background check is done BEFORE an offer is made.

Just as I said before multiple times. Title Seven does not currently include transsexuals. This is because they are harassing me about my lifestyle, not my sex.
And again…can you PROVE that? They just one day, after hiring you decided to conduct a background check?? Again, I’m not buying it, sorry.

Most of the time I was simply not hired. Only twice was I actually literally fired. Both times specifically because they had heard rumors that I was transsexual. I’m pretty tall, and somewhat androgynous, it doesn’t take long to add 2+2.

I am lumping together non-hiring and firing for it into the sum when I say five or six times.

I have been told ‘We don’t hire your kind’ here after the background check was done.

Again, there are both FEDERAL and STATE laws that protect from sexual harassment…so I am not buyin’ it…
And you probably oppose those laws, just like you oppose this bill.
this bill is just another attempt to further the homosexual agenda.

We are supposed to openly accept their lifestyle choices, while we are being forced INTO the closets to practice our faith!
Noone is forcing you to accept anything since lifestyle choices are irrelevant in most work situations. Shouldn’t they have a ‘right’ to be judged on what they do, not what they are?

**
I fear the implications of such an act would also extend into churches and religious organizations, forcing them to employ open homosexuals or homosexual activists. I have written my senators.**

**It has a clause excepting religious organizations.

Other than that, are you in FAVOR of discrimination based on sexual orientation–or even PERCEIVED sexual orientation?**

Should I have the right to fire you for being Catholic? Being Catholic is a choice, just like so many people say about my own life and gays and lesbians.

And actually…you are wrong.

The US Supreme Court case:

Price Waterhouse v. Hopkins, 490 U.S. 228 (1989) (holds that harassment directed at a person because that person does not conform to traditional sex stereotypes is covered by Title VII)

That only applies for the area the DC Circuit court covers, not all of the country.

I think a private employer should have the right to hire and fire whoever they please, in addition, they should be able to offer whatever compensation they deem appropriate for the position they are looking for fill.

Don’t like the pay…don’t take the job, its a contract between employer and employee…period.

UMM…NO…that’s a US SUPREME COURT DECISION…its not a lower court decision, as such it is a FEDERAL decision and provides precident.

Again, I am harassed for being a transsexual. Not for being a non-genderconforming individual. I look, act and sound female. They harass me about having once been a boy in my youth. They taunt me and ask if I’ve ‘cut it off yet’.

That has nothing to do with this case.

Again, I want someone to tell me how you prove that one is gay or lesbian?? The whole notion of “perceived” sexual orientation is an absolute joke as in MANY case today there is no way to distinguish who may or may not be gay or lesbian!

Umm…no…cause then you could file under the typical sexual harassment laws.

Again, sorry…but I’m not buyin it!

With what money and what lawyer? I could probably sue, but I can’t afford it. No lawyers would take the case for free. As I said I contacted the ACLU itself about it. They wouldn’t help me.

I have nearly five hundred thousand dollars of medical debt because I am denied health insurance too, no one in their right mind would work for me with that over my head.

Sure…everyone should be “judged” on their skills, experience, knowledge, education, character, interviewing skills, etc. But NO LAW should dictate to ANY private employer who they can and can’t hire or fire!

This law basically will hold the employer captive once they hire a gay or lesbian individual, as they will not be able to fire them, even if it is performance related, because “discrimination” will be cried EVERYTIME!

Cry me a river…we all have difficulties in life…and again, I don’t buy it cause there are way too many liberal groups who would take up your “case” as their cause.

And by the way…if you were to file against a company…I am betting your state would likely provide an attorney for you.

Now you’re just being mean. This serves no purpose. You think I’m lying, I think you’re lying. There’s no way any company would hire someone as immature as you for HR Director, it’s patently absurd.

And here we go to the personal attacks, this is pretty typical of liberals, regardless of gender, or non-gender, or transgender…I have asked you some questions…you have not yet provided any answers…so once again, how do you prove to an employer that you are or are not transgendered?

You have been personally attacking me from the start. As you told me, ‘cry me a river’. You have asked me serious questions, and you called me a liar at every turn. Why should I bother?

How do I prove it? My birth certificate says male, my social security information says male, my driver’s license says male. I also have to carry a note from my psychotherapist on me at all times.

I’m pretty sure at least some of this is public information, particularly my driver’s license.

Maybe you were not hired because you seem to carry an attitude with you? Maybe you were asking for too much money…maybe they decided to fill the position with someone else…there are a million reasons why you could not have been hired and in today’s day and age of the sue happy society…expecially when it comes to discrimination cases such as this…I find it very unlikely that ANYONE would say…“we don’t hire your kind here” and I KNOW they would never ask about your personal lifestyle, as THAT is against the law in itself.
