How can Catholics make the most of phases of their life where they have few faith friends and are single? I know some Saints have taken times for solitude for contemplation and that often being alone with God can have its benefits. (Oh course I’m acknowledging that isolation long-term isnt psychologically healthy) But I mean more just taking a few months off of your social life and spending more one-to-one time with God?

say the rosary, attend daily mass; go on a catholic retreat or two or three ; catch up on your sleep

that is what i’d’ve’d had i been given the gift of “solitude” for a few days (or weeks)

good luck…

also i’d indulge in reading

we all know the great catholic works

there are too many to name

i am a huge Dr Scott Hahn fan

This you can do daily or weekly via adoration of Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Middle of the night I find to be most conducive to spiritual union with Christ. Sing Him a chaplet. Read scripture. Offer a Rosary. Gaze upon Him. Just be there. He is the only One we ever truly need in our lives.

To have Him is to possess everything. To have everything but Him is to possess nothing.
