Im sorry, but using that kind of logic, one could interpret the bible in any way, as long as it is convenient to their particular beliefs, and sort of holds water. Using this kind of logic, how do we even know people are judged after death, how do we know people go to heaven or hell…maybe heaven and hell are symbolic of 2 states of mind? Maybe Gods judgement is a metaphor? See where Im going with this?
Hence why Jesus gave us a Church and not a book.

Today’s global abortion culture

The Bible passage below talks about sin that is associated with women. I believe this can only be about abortion since a man can participate in an abortion or even be the abortionist,
Men have been projecting a guilt trip on to women for most of history. But the reality is that all sexual abuse is founded upon a male sexual response that is outside volition. Man is not sovereign over his own body!

One needs only consider pornography, prostitution, divorce, the broken homes and marriages that infidelity causes, unwanted children, questions of overpopulation, all sexual abuse, violence and trafficking, pedophile priests, rape, an Aids pandemic, Syphilis, Gonorrhea and at least another dozen sexually transmitted diseases or infections. Than there is contraception, abortion and suggestive links to testicular and prostate cancers, degenerating DNA in sperm, implications for the immune system and even female vaginal conditions. With such huge risks and costs to human well being, both individually and culturally, one might think such overwhelming evidences would give reason a start to seriously begin questioning this often predatory act which looks more at home on the farm than approved of by Heaven. This act, bought and sold the world over, from this perspective looks more a tyranny and a curse than any ‘gift’ of God, making us slaves to concupiscence and Madison avenue.

The male of our species remains the problem. And it is implausible to accept that any nature subject to such a universal corruption can at the same time find favor with God.

If you are saying that you believe that every man is evil because he is a man and every woman is good because she is a woman that’s the same as believing that one race of people is always superior and another race always inferior. And I will have to disagree with you.

Have to agree I’m afraid.

In the writings of Catalina Riva’s she also asks that we pray for America and Brazil.

Jesus says in these writings that it is the arrogance of man that most offends him.

America lied to its allies in order to invade Iraq, without UN approval, under the lie of WMD’s. Not one found. The poor would pay the price with their lives.
Who was responsible for the lies and what of their debt?

The GFC was brought about by America’s greed. In the end, the Banks were bailed out and it was the poor who once again suffered. Where are the master minds and what of their debt?

The world used to see America as an inspiration to the free world. The great leaders of the past have lost their voice. “In God we trust”. Where?..and only when it suits.

The world just see’s arrogance, extravagance and a self serving governance. It will be her arrogance and her belief in military superiority that will see her down fall. Their pride as a nation has turned into arrogance. It is such a shame for such a great nation.
Well, we can take comfort that when God comes back, it will only take him 3 days to completely destroy modern day Babylon!

I think once this is done and over, the rest of the world will be MUCH better off.

I only recently discovered that Sycamore Tree story. Blew me away! Then to have two political figures…unwittingly I assume…repeat that Biblical passage, inviting judgement on a nation…Just disbelief. Still find the whole thing just unbelievable. 😊

Sexism.

  1. The Gospel being preached as a witness to all nations - Many Bible commentators see that portion of Matthew 24 as referring to the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.; in this sense, “all nations” would refer to the Roman Empire. Besides, even today, the Gospel hasn’t reached everyone.
The solid argument against this is The Great Commission. The Church was commissioned by God to go and teach “all nations” (Matthew 28:19). If “all nations” meant the Roman Empire, and according to those Bible commentators that mission was achieved by AD 70, then the Church’s mission was complete, and it could stop with any further preaching of the Gospel to other lands. So why didn’t the Church stop? No, the Church, having 100 percent of the Deposit of the Faith, has always known that “all nations” meant just that, all the peoples of this present physical world. (And it is doubtful it means every single *person *on the planet - hyperbolic speech - Jesus has other ways to make Himself known to those who never get to learn of Him in their lifetimes.)

The use of “all nations” to mean the Roman Empire can therefore be seen as an overreach of exegesis by some as they try to understand other parts of Matthew 24.

At least some of the popes of the 20th century have indicated that the Gospel has now been preached to the nations, that this has been fulfilled. What is perhaps more interesting is the part that comes after it: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.”

God bless you.

How could it talking about ancient times when some of the tracts mention air travel?

I do not believe all this has already happened, I think we would have known of Jesus second coming if it had happened in the past, plus all that is said to lead up to his coming.
I don’t even know what to make of your comment:confused: air travel:shrug:

By the way, I don’t believe Jesus second coming has happened in the past, people who do preach such things, are preaching heresy, you must be thinking of “full preterist”, being that I am Catholic, I am not a full preterist!

My beliefs are in line with Catholic teachings, I wonder if you can say the same 🤷

God bless!

I am saying that Evolution has left everyman, within his nature the potential for evil and fixed moral limitations. A woman can only reflect those limitations and those of the moral relativities within any existing cultural construct. And until God decides to provide the means to break free of those limitations, the world will continue in conflict, war and injustice and environmental destruction. The only question I have is will God act before our species completely destroys creation.

  1. Babylon has a huge aviation program (Isa 14:13-14; Jer 51:53; Hab 1:6-10).
While I dont have the exact verse, when looking at the ‘end times’ biblical verses, those that God told us to be watchful for, it is mentioned people will be traveling to and fro by airplane.

I dont believe Jesus second coming has happened yet either, not sure if I have given that impression, but I definitely do not think that, nor did I mean to imply that you did.

I believe we are very close to his second coming though. The only thing that I do not see happening soon, is the rebuilding of the temple on the site of the most holy site for Islam, I think if this was even attempted, it would spark a war so bad, no one would be building anything for many many years.

On ‘Christian’ marriage.

“Since biological carnality and it’s union existed long before any of the monotheisms ever appeared on earth. And the basics of biology haven’t and isn’t changed by some contrivance of language, ceremony, blessing or the most sincere aspirations of a man and woman.”

“The idea that human sexual response has any fidelity is one of the great male lies. And it is within human sexuality that a dangerous and dark side of human nature is exposed all too clearly not to take pause and reflect.”

"Marriage between a man and woman, as an ideal of relationship that it should be . . . isn’t! This ancient and flawed institution desperately needs new foundations, And religion self evidently offers no means to correct the crooked timber that is human nature. "

On the subject of marriage, I don’t listen to any advice by celibate men, especially the pope. Arguments of ‘natural law’ are no more than the emperors new clothes!

Ah yep!
Good for you. 👍

Airplanes, now I have heard it all, I have heard the rapture meme people talk about how it will be black hawk helicopters, and I have heard the ancient alien meme perpetuators reference UFO’s in regards to either Enoch, or Elisha (i forgot which one they say, and just could care lest with all the sensationalism) but airplanes is new to me 👍

Wondering what you do with the words of Christ, I see Christ as doing what He said, and no need for stretching words, spiritualizing or calling it allegorical, not sure if you will be able to say the same 🤷 I hope, so! Question, what did Christ mean when he said soon? I believe He meant what He said

Revelation 1:1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants what must soon take place; and he made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads aloud the words of the prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written therein; for the time is near.

What about St.John partaking in the revelation almost 2000 years ago

Revelation 1:9 I John, your brother, who share with you in Jesus the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

Wow  Third Temple …red flag! That is often perpetuated by the dispensational futurist meme pushers! Sounds like post 1830’s eschatology to me 👍

When is the millennial reign in your view?

Here is a Catholic Teacher doing a study on Revelation, perhaps it will give you perspective!

So, how do you explain ‘aviation’ being mentioned in the bible? How did they even know what this was?

In 1880 Fr. M. J. O’Brien published his book titled “Historical and Critical Account of the so-called PROPHECY OF ST. MALACHY.” This prophecy, known as the “Prophecy of the Popes” was published in 1595 by the Benedictine monk, Arnold Wion. Fr. O’Brien rather convincingly showed that Wion himself wrote the entire prophecy; St. Malachy having nothing to do with its authorship.
But of relevance to the subject at hand is the fact that Fr. O’Bien made a critical change to Wion’s list of Popes. For a careful examination shows that there are actually 113 Pope prophecies, and Fr. O’Brien lists only 112. The mistake stems from the conflation of number 112 with number 113, presumably because, grammatically, those verses seem to flow into each other. 112 reads in its original Latin: “In psecutione. extrema S.R.E. sedebit.” Which was translated by O’Bien as “In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign…” and was then conflated by him with 113: “…Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations…” thereby forming one sentence and one prophecy. However “sedebit” may also be legitimately translated into English as “He will sit,” and 112 then stands on its own: “He will sit in the final persecution. of the Holy Roman Church.”
This is the Prophecy that applies to our present Bishop of Rome, Francis I. The conclusion is that Francis I, who is number 112 in Wion’s prophecy, cannot be Petrus Romanus which is number 113.
In summary:
112. In psecutione. extre-
ma S.R.E. sedebit.
113. Petrus Romanus, qui
pascet oves in mul-
tis tribulationibus:
quibus transactis ci-
vitas septicollis di-
ruetur, & Judex tre
medus juducabit po
pulum suum. Finis.

Given the rather ominous nature of 113, I think that it is of great importance that 113 does not apply to Francis I.

So, how do you explain ‘aviation’ being mentioned in the bible? How did they even know what this was?
I’m not sure where aviation appears in the Bible but aviation meant bird which is where aviary or aviarium or avis come from.

Did you think planes or am I missing something?

:hmmm:
