Continuation

When Christ comes back the second time with His angels (Matt.24:29-31) and with all His saints (Zech.14:4-5; Jude 14-15; Matt.19:27-28), He will take over Satan’s kingdom (Rev.11:15) and will clean up His Kingdom (Matt.13:30, 41-42) and will be a literal kingdom on this earth. – At this time our prayer will be fulfilled; “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

Rev.2:26-27; “And he who overcomes, and keeps My work until the end, to him I WILL GIVE AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS which I MYSELF HAVE BEEN GIVEN BY MY FATHER, to rule them with a rod of iron; …”

Christ will rule ON EARTH in His kingdom with His saints (Daniel 7:13-14, 21-22, 26-27; 1 Pet.2:9; Rev.2:26-27; Rev.20:5).

This kingdom is an EVERLASTING kingdom and will NEVER end (Daniel 2:44; Daniel 7:14, 27).

SECOND TIME PERIOD
Between Christ’s II Coming and the fulfillment of Rev.21:1-4.
  1. At the beginning of the second time period will fulfill Matt.19:28; Acts 3:21; Rom.8:19-21. All creation is restored by regeneration/recreation and “delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”
  2. At the beginning of the second time period will fulfill Is.2:4;
“… They shall beat their swords into plowshares,
    And their spears into pruning hooks;
Nation shall not lift up swords against nation,
Neither shall they learn war anymore.”
  3. After His II Coming Christ will rule ON EARTH in His kingdom with His saints (Daniel 7:13-14; Daniel 7:21-22; Daniel 7:26-27; 1 Pet.2:9; Rev.2:26-27; Rev.20:5).
The Bible is a Catholic book. The context of the Bible is Catholic teaching.
Because the Magisterium doesn’t interpret some parts of the Bible, it does not mean; that those parts of the Bible do not exist, or are not authoritative, or not in operation.
The Catholic Church does not teach Sola Magisterium.

We can say with confidence; “The renewal of the world is irrevocably under way.”
Christ’s II Coming will end the FIRST TIME PERIOD and by overtaking Satan’s kingdom on earth and with instant renewal of the world by regeneration/recreation (Matt.19:28; Acts 3:21; Rom.8:20-21; Is.11:6-9) Christ will set the stage for the beginning of the SECOND TIME PERIOD.

SUMMARY

KEY CHARACTERISTIC of the first time period:

In the FIRST TIME PERIOD this world is the kingdom of Satan. – Matt.4:8-9; Luke 4:5-7.
In the FIRST TIME PERIOD Satan is the ruler and the god of his kingdom/this world – John 14:30; 2 Cor.4:3-4.

KEY CHARACTERISTIC of the second time period:

In the SECOND TIME PERIOD this world is the kingdom of God. – Rev.11:15; Daniel 7:13-14.
In the SECOND TIME PERIOD Christ will rule in His kingdom with His saints. – Daniel 7:21-22; Daniel 7:26-27; Rev.20:6.

Christ throughout the SECOND TIME PERIOD will prepare the world for the perfect and eternal state described in Rev.21:1-4. – “There shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying; and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

YES. The end of the FIRST TIME PERIOD when Christ’s II Coming will takes place is fast approaching.

Christ will come to take over Satan’s kingdom (Dan.7:13-14, 21-22, Rev.11:15), to imprison him (Rev.20:3), and to set the creation free from the bondage of corruption (Rom.8:20-21; Is.11:6-9), by instant regeneration/recreation (Matt.19:28; Acts 3:21).

COME, LORD JESUS!

With love in Christ,
LH

Twice during his papacy, Pope Benedict has said the end times are not near.
Peace,

Greetings in Christ Edwest2,

The fulfillment of Rev.21:1-4; when the perfect age will start is not near.

With love in Christ,
LH.

The Catholic Church’s position seems to be that we will not know the day nor the hour, to always be prepared. The end of the world might come sooner or later, but we also need to be prepared for our own “endtimes”, for our own deaths.

We’re encouraged to approach it with preparation, readiness, perhaps even with optimism, and told not to worry, to trust in God. We don’t know how far away it is. So, we need to always be vigilant, since we don’t know, we are to wait with our “lamps” ready, as it were, since it will come at an hour when we least expect it .
It’s also Jesus’ position of not knowing the day or hour, so always be ready!

Yes, but Jesus also gave us signs and other hints to watch for, so we will know when he is at the door, plus he said some of the prophecies would not even be able to be understood until the time is close to his return, so this tells me we ARE close, since we are able to understand what is meant by these prophecies.

It makes sense, as those in biblical times would not have known what the internet, computers, air travel, banking, etc. Those are common terms in our world though, they have alot to do with increased knowledge, people traveling alot, etc.

It always irks me when people say, NO one can know the exact day or hour, they do not say that Jesus gave specific signs and hints to watch for, and these do point to us being in end times, but I think they just dont like to admit that, probably out of fear.

Hi truetofaith: I have to agree with your statement. We are to be prepared and that was what Jesus was inferring and teaching. When Jesus said only h father knows the hour an time Jesus was really saying that it is not for man to know as it will not help in one’s salvation.

I have no fear, mikekle. I was just responding to the comment that it’s the position of the Catholic Church, when it was Jesus who took that position first.
I agree it appears that the end time is near. One example is the whole world will see the return of Christ, which is understandable with TV coverage, but I think it will be seen supernaturally. A few years after Jesus rose Christians thought it was the end times but they were wrong. It may be true in our day, also.

Am I wrong in my thinking? I believe thinking about or worrying about the end of time is pointless. We should be ready everyday because we have no idea if it is our last. The final end is irrelevant. The end could be next week but that doesn’t mean we couldn’t die today before it even happens. Prepare for personal end everyday and not worry about the end of everything. Why worry about what you can not change to begin with?
You are absolutely correct. There is no preparation for the “end time” that differs from preparation for the end of your mortal life.

As a Protestant considering the Catholic Church I am interested to know of catholic beliefs concerning the end of days. If this in the wrong place mods can feel free to move it. Do Catholics believe that we are living in the end times or at least they are fast approaching? When ever I watch the news or whatnot seems to confirm that perception therefore do Catholics believe so? I am genuinely interested in hearing what the Church says about this.
My opinion – who cares? It is not my place to worry about it, it is God’s place to worry about the end of the world.

Greetings in Christ Sallybutler,

In your opinion:

a. Which world will end?

b. What will happen at the end of the world?

c. What will happen after the end of the world?

Of course I welcome others opinion as well.

With love in Christ,
LH
