No problem. We can always step up some global warming for when the sun is gone.

According to the video the sun goes through cycles. Low or no sun spot activity accompanies ice ages. We can’t argue that this past winter has been colder than usual.
I’ve even heard reports of snow in Florida and in Barcelona, Spain which is v.unusual. The global warming brigade will probably tell us that its caused by human activity ( carbon emissions) , wheras its a normal sun cycle .

Yes, the sun goes through cycles. Many think that we’re entering a mini ice age.

Well, let’s see. If the crucifixion took place at noon on April 14, 33 A.D., add 1776, subtract 1492, and you get exactly 722,500 days before May 21, 2018, then the number, 722,500, is the square of 5 x 10 x 17. In the Bible, 5 represents atonement, 10 means completeness, and seventeen means heaven. Five times 10 times 17 is telling you a story, from the atonement to the completion of time is May 21, 2018. Then comes the judgement and heaven for the saved. For those in the Eastern U.S., adjust this to daylight savings time and the world ends at 5:10pm that day, just as your enjoying a beer.

What the heck! I’ll ignore the ice still floating on the top of the lake and just jump in. (It builds character. Or something.)

This is from Spirit Daily from five years ago: http://www.spiritdaily.net/prophecychurch1.htm

There was Saint Bridget of Sweden (1873): "When the feast of Saint Mark shall fall on Easter, the feast of Saint Anthony on Pentecost, and that of Saint John on Corpus Christi, the whole world shall cry, ‘Woe.’"

The Feast of Saint Mark commemorates Mark the Evangelist and takes place on April 25. Easter Sunday falls on April 25 in 2038.

Saint Anthony’s feast falls on June 13. Pentecost Sunday is on June 13 in 2038.

The Feast of St John is fixed at June 24.
The Feast of Corpus Christi is a movable feast, which means that it depends on the date of Easter Sunday. It is celebrated on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday, which falls one week after Pentecost Sunday. Corpus Christi falls on June 24 in 2038

(NOTE: In the dioceses of the United States, celebration of the Feast of Corpus Christi is transferred to the following Sunday.)

SO:
in 2038 Easter is on April 25 (the latest date it can fall) which is the Feast of St. Mark.
In 2038 the Feast of Corpus Christi falls on June 24, which is the Feast of St. John.
In 2038 Pentecost falls on June 13, which is the Feast of St. Anthony.

WOE! (Or is it, “Whoa!” ?)
The End of Time doesn’t really take speculation. It happens every second of everyday for people who die. The particular judgement occurs. They are now outside of time. No more yesterday, today, tomorrow. No trillion years from now, Just the eternal now. If one goes to heaven it is forever. If one goes to hell it is forever. There is no reversal. THAT is HUGE.

I think the world ended in 1972. I have the leftover rolling paper. :v:t3:

I don’t know who cares but I’ll say it anyway. I was ready to tell my sheperds my theory.

Then, during catecism last Saturday, the priest said that God doesn’t mean us to know exactly everything beforehand. He said this while he was explaining that Jesus Christ knows all, just like the Father knows all, but didn’t reveal everything during His ministries, at least not in a straightforward way. And gave the example of Hos teachings about the second coming of the Son of Man.

How come the priest brought up exactly this example? This subject is all I have been thinking about lately… was it Divne Providence? I dont know…

What I do know, though, is that, after class, I had decided to read the Sacred Scriptures and found myself on St. Matthew, chapters 24 and 25. In turn, and after a little meditation, I realized that maybe, just maybe, even if the Church or any other person knew when the end was going to happen, they probably should not reveal it publicly, at least not in a straightforward way, just like Our Lord did.

Therefore, anyone out there who has theories about the end of the world, please, think well before telling them publicly. And the reason is in the two St. Matthew chapters I mentioned. I’m not saying to hide them. I just think there might be a rational way to tell them, so that it is according to God’s will.

I thought the world was meant to end September last year? Remember 2017 - 100 years matters and all that stuff…

I think it was about Russia’s errors back in the 1920’s that were going to spread i.e communism & abortion started in Russia. Don’t think she was talking about now, I mean, they don’t even allow gay marriage now.

You said it all. We need to be always ready. This is more important knowing when the Second Coming is going to happen. Especially in our case, 20th and 21st centuriers.

What I like best about that book is how it went from being one of the most popular books in France, with almost every household having a copy; to there being maybe ONE copy left in the entire world. Everyone had a copy, so no one thought to preserve any one copy. It is literally a gift from G_D that the one copy was tracked down, and now we have it in English. I got about half way through the book then got distracted; now I don’t know where my copy is. Otherwise I’d read along with you.

Interesting book, but seems out of date. Being published over 100 years ago, it, of course, does not mention the idea of global nuclear war as the means of this world’s destruction.

Great book. I read it at the beginning of Lent. What really had an impact on me was how it made hell real. I was never so aware that we need to focus on evangelization as when it described hell. People are perishing and going to hell. And it last forever. We need to become saints! To point to Christ! That gives a little umpf to fasting and penances. I think only the first part was really about the end of the present world though.

*I had gazed at the stars

I had marveled at angels

I had stared at beasts

And then, the veil that was covering the Apocalypse of St. John the Apostle disappeared.

Behold, there it is, a glimpse of the Almighty God.

Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus…*

I want to cry…

thanks for posting. I’ve known about that book for quite a while. St. Therese wrote about it.

It’s ok to take it slow. I think it is worth munching this one slowly, and ruminating on it as you read.

Connected in what way?
The Church has always taught that the 2nd coming is the end of time…All enter eternity. So the chastisement by fire comes simultaneously to Christ’s 2nd coming?

Akita…
"As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day, recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests
So the chastisement at Akita can not be at the end right?

.
