St. Therese put this book 3rd on it’s impact on her life. The Gospels were #1. How many of us neglect reading the inspired word of God; instead choosing this or that private revelation? I know I can be guilty of such. Have we all read the entire Bible? Have we read some of the Bible each and every day?

Without speculating in a vain and sinful way, it is clear that the events in August + September 2017 were sent by God and a fulfillment of biblical prophecy. The prayers of the faithful for Mary to intercede on our behalf are buying us time for penance and evengalism but it’s clear that we don’t have much time left before an accelerating of events - perhaps 5 years, maybe more.

Accelerating of events at the end, by the way, is well established in Catholic literature. Below is the best explainer I have read on August/September 17.

I believe what is being described there is the Major Chastisement that takes place just before the end of the world. We still have to go through the Minor Chastisement, which is NOT the Tribulation described by Protestants. I believe the Minor Chastisement will end with the War of Gog/Magog described in Ezekiel 38-39. That ends with fire falling from the sky to destroy both the armies invading Israel and the nations that sent those armies.
 
If World War 1 and World War 2 were not the minor chastisement, I don’t know what would be.
 
They were chastisements, to be sure, but they were not directed at people of faith. WW2 had people of faith (Jews, Catholics, and others) being tortured and killed because of their faiths, however, that was not a world-wide event.
 
I could make the argument that large parts of Fatima have already come true - that the consecration of Russia by JP2 led to the end of the Cold War and the downfall of Soviet Communism and it currently being one of the only places in the world where the Christian faith is growing. Also, that we are currently living in the Era of Peace foretold at Fatima. The 90’s definitely fit that criteria in my opinion.

I guess, I am always intrigued when a cardinal describes the current state of affairs in the Church in apocalyptic terms. So as before with Cardinal Burke I am intrigued with Cardinal Eijk’s statement:
The cardinal concluded by saying the situation resembled the end times, quoting Article 675 of the Catechism which speaks of “a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth.”

I don’t think Sister Lucia has been canonised, or beatified to date.
 
I’m not seeking to continue debating Sr. Lucia but I ask myself ’ Why would the Vatican choose to disobey Our Lady’s explicit instruction ( i.e. God’s instruction ) to make public the third secret of Fatima . Did politics get in the way or did they think they knew better?
One thing we can be sure is that Satan is the master of confusion.

If (God help us!) Sr. Lucia was a “fake,” and the 3rd secret not yet known, what purpose would it serve the Vatican in their so-called cover up? One could only think the 3rd secret is terrible news for them and/or so terrible for the world that it was worthy of a massive cover up.
Just can’t wrap my mind around these things. I don’t buy into the “fake” Lucia, but I must say the photos give one pause. Dentures don’t do it in my mind.
 
Well, we all expect the great apostasy and the Antichrist. Ho hum.
But the reptilians–that’s worthy of an elaborate coverup! 🙂

Some people continue to look much like their younger selves as they age, but some don’t. I don’t buy the “fake” Sr Lucia or the “fake” Pope Paul.
