From the article:

“Kmart is claiming that the error was from a glitch in the kiosk’s software. According to the Daily Telegraph , Kodak announced the “software issue” affected all Kmart photo kiosks across the country and the issue was resolved by Thursday morning.”

Speaking as a software engineer, software does not “glitch”, software executes.

The “glitch” was having someone high enough on the food chain approve the “banned word” list without prior arrangment for a fall guy (some underpaid technician) or for providing “plausible deniability.”

I see your beautiful Scapular of Benediction and Protection.
The one I made looks as good.

I’m still pondering Dr. Marshall’s book…Infiltration…thinking of rereading and creating notes.
In Chapter 32 Solving the Current Crisis under the subheading of Accept the Sedevacantist Position, Marshall suggests that sedevacantists believe these are end times “and there shall never again be a valid pope.” This is not the view point of Marshall. He only suggests a number ways various groups surface about the current crisis in the Church.

This is the only time Marshall mentions end times in his currently top rated book.

Nice icons, especially that one of the Mandylion. I have the same one.

However, in my view, the author of your book doesn’t have a clue. Sorry.

Too bad. Because that is the best, most complete book on the subject currently out. He uses scripture, the Church Fathers, and a few approved private revelations. Exactly the kind of solid, reasonable exegesis we need with all wild rumors floating around.

In my opinion it is all too obvious that Adolph Hitler was the anti-Christ, and that is why I don’t put much stock in these authors.

Fr. Wion’s prediction is that Francis is the second to last Pope and that a persecution of the Church will occur during his pontificate cutting it short. The final Pope is, according to Wion and by ancient Christian tradition, St. Peter, who will shepherd us through “many tribulations” before the “city of the seven hills” (the earth) is destroyed and the “terrible Judge” judges his people.

The prediction attributed to Pope St. Pius X seems to fit in with Fr. Wion’s prediction for Pope Francis. We will know soon enough if that is true.

Sorry, you are talking about things here that are beyond the comprehension of my feeble old brain. I suppose I would guess that the 1000 year reign was 33 A.D. to about 1033 A.D.

With the recent daily news stories about UFO sightings…wondering if the Antichrist will present as an alien. :alien:

I have a chance to do some summer reading. Intrigued by (name removed by moderator)'s end times book, and I’m curious if anyone else might want to read this concurrently…perhaps an end times book group?

undead _rat referring to (name removed by moderator)'s book read suggestion Trial, Tribulation & Triumph by Birch

Mark Mallet mentions Birch and a couple others in this lengthy blog.

Interesting that the blog quotes Pope St. Pius X as remarking in 1903 that the “son of perdition” (the anti-Christ) may already be in the world. (Hitler was born in 1889.)
Pius X was a true visionary who foresaw the coming of WW I when no one else had any idea of the imminent devastation. He is also reported by Chojnowski as having mentioned Fr. Wion’s prediction of “Religio depopulata” for his successor.

I’m a big fan of Mark Mallet’s, although I haven’t kept up with him in the past few years. It always takes so long for me to work through his essays, because I feel compelled to check out his footnotes as I come across them.

Personally, I think he is a prophet, but not in the sense most people think of prophets. I see him as an Old Testament prophet. In the OT, prophets — real ones, sent by G_D – didn’t predict the future. They predicted the present. By that, I mean they could analyze the current events and correctly interpret them. Only then could they predict the future. If you cannot correctly interpret the signs around you, how can you possibly be trusted by G_D with knowledge of the future?

Hi (name removed by moderator). I’m still reading this thread off and on, and as always it’s interesting.

I know there’s lots of ideas about the Antichrist and I agree with you that I don’t think it will be a literal thousand years either, but that it means that Christ will rule for a very long time. I also think, as you do, that the thousand years will come after the defeat of Satan, but I think that Satan was defeated on the cross. So I think that the thousand years started after the Resurrection and will continue until the world throws off the reign of God (which is happening more and more)…then the Anti-christ will rule–because that’s what mankind has chosen instead of God. But he’ll only rule for a very short time, as scripture says, and then Christ will come to put an end to all that nonesens, and then the everlasting reign of Christ will begin.

Just IMHO, it’s not something that I remember reading anywhere.

We must be getting near End Times. Microsoft offered this up as a screen saver today…

Nope. Shot directly from my log in screen. As to whether the screen saver was photo shopped? Hey, it’s Microsoft. It must be authentic!
