Prophecy of the Popes - Wikipedia
I’d say that the explanations of the mottoes of “final popes” on this list are stretched out
a lot. Maybe it’s the nature of the prophecy, which is always symbolic.
But even if so, we’re still pretty darn close to the 111/112 which is the “final persecution of the Holy Roman Church”.
Thanks for providing the WIKI link. We not “close” to “psecutione. extrema S.R.E.,” we are there. These words are found in the two lines which constitute the prediction for Pope Francis, number 112. This paragraph is not given a number in the WIKI analysis.
That is a mistake which stems from the invalid 1624 reprint done by Fr. Thomas Messingham.
The Latin verb “sedebit” is correctly translated as “He (she, it) will sit (reign, preside.)”
The Latin language does not use imaginary nouns as in “there will sit,” or as in “it is raining.” You can search the entire Vulgate without finding such a translation. Therefore, the correct translation for the two line prediction for Pope Francis is:
He will reign in the final persecution. of the Holy Roman Church.
I do not think that this prediction will be, as you say, “symbolic,” any more that was the terrible
Religio depopulata of 1914-1921.
Notice the out of place period following the word “psecutione.” This is a premature stop, and, in my opinion, it marks the premature end of Francis’ papacy.
Here we should acknowledge the visions attributed to Pope St. Pius X which mention two persons: 1. a Pope and 2. a “successor of the same name” who are affected by the same event. These visions predicted the retirement of Pope Benedict XVI who shares his given name of “Joseph” with that of Giuseppe Sarto. So whether or not Pius X was the one who actually had these visions is not important. It is the fact that they were made well prior to 2013 that is the legitimizing factor.
Pope St. Pius X Prophecy Pope St. Pius X had two visions that were similar to the Fatima Vision of Sister Lucy. In 1909, during an audience with members of the Franciscan Order, St. Pius X had a vision of a future pope fleeing Rome. He said: “What I have seen is terrifying! Will I be the one, or...
