I’m thinking this is our time for the test. The greatest generation had it rough as did the generation before them.
With the Boomers came the seventies and the whole sexual revolution along with abortion. So, compared to the greatest generation, many of the boomers lived sex, drugs and rock n roll.
Per Psalm 95
Today, if only you would hear his voice,
8 “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah,
as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness,
9 where your ancestors tested me;
they tried me, though they had seen what I did.
10 For forty years I was angry with that generation;
I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray,
and they have not known my ways.’
11 So I declared on oath in my anger,
‘They shall never enter my rest.’”
So, I don’t see this as end times per say. But I see it as our time of reckoning for consequences of the past, like rising secularism.
What may happen when we get passed this is a religious revitalization. More than the virus itself, I fear the economy will suffer long term consequences. Again, ever since the Greek crisis companies, governments and households have been over leveraged in debt. Again, cheap money to prevent a recession seems fine in the short term but in the long term leads to a domino effect of collapse when say you can no longer make the payments because of long term stalls in the market like we see with corona.
So, I see this as a Job moment. A time where God is giving the world a warning and time to repent. As Catholics we have to improve our Faith, HOPE, love and charity so when the influx of repentant should come looking for a home they find us the most inviting.
This is our Job moment
