I assume by “he” you mean Enda Kenny. This Pope doesn’t seem to scare off all that easily.

And the actual headline speaks volumes. “**Irish PM: We’ll send an invite to Pope but only if he wants to visit **”

How would you know whether or not someone would want to visit unless you actually invited them? And does he seriously think the Pope would refuse such an invitation?

This sound like a conversation I recent had with my 7 yr old son. He was sad that he’s never had a friend over for a “sleep over”, as his older siblings have in the past. I responded: “Did you ever invite anyone to do so?”

All seems quite odd. I guess I need to read up on Irish politics to fully grasp all of this …

You’d wonder what he is so scared off, he never seems to make a direct statement (about anything), keeps changing his statements. Possibly, the Irish embassy in the vatican will also be re-opened - if the atheist, Minister of Trade and foreign affairs, stays out of the decision and lets democaracy rule.
I think Enda is more scared of upsetting his partners-in-crime, the two athiest coalition ministers, Comrades Gilmore and Rabitt! 😉

I’d love a papal visit to Ireland. The Holy Father wore Pope Leo’s stole in Westminster in the presence of the Anglican hierarchy of all things! I can’t wait to see what he pulls in Ireland :D! The secularists and atheists will be doing their heads in.

And I’d like a wee trip over the sea.

Precisely, that’s what I thought! Pretty worrying an atheist president as well (although a lovely man), lets hope secularism can be kept at bay.
