I suggest that your friend just confronts her fiance about it. That is the only way this will be fixed. A porn addiction won’t fix itself.
You may see this and say “that is gonna be hard for her to do”. Admittedly it will be, but she must do it if the relationship wants to survive and thrive.
If she really is struggling with a confrontation, tell her to pray. Pray straight to God and ask Him how to go about confronting her fiance. The Holy Spirit will guide her.
Also, pray to St. Mary Magdalene, she seems appropriate in this situation:

Saint Mary Magdalene,
woman of many sins, who by conversion
became the beloved of Jesus,
thank you for your witness
that Jesus forgives
through the miracle of love.

You, who already possess eternal happiness
in His glorious presence,
please intercede for me, so that some day
I may share in the same everlasting joy.

Amen.

I stress a confrontation here.
The sooner, the better. I’m sure the bride-to-be doesn’t want to go into this marrige knowing what grave sins her fiance has commited.

If you need any more advice, ask. I’ll try my hardest to help you help your friend.

thank you for so many good thoughts and things I could share with her…

She is going to confront him-and try to do it in a loving way but with strong emphasis on how this relationship can not continue at this point but that if he wants help, she’ll support him as his friend as he works through it.

Please pray for her…and him…:gopray: :gopray:

Hi funny–that’s a good outcome, as good as can be expected. Thanks for sharing…and I’ll be praying for her and him.

This woman has a 5 y/o daughter. I would be concerned that this man’s porn habit might lead him to do something to this girl. Not at age 5, but maybe when she is much older. This woman needs to protect this young child.
Are you serious!?!? I’d like to see the evidence for that one!

NEWSFLASH:
Ninety-Eight percent of alcoholics drank milk earlier in life!

Porn viewing does not make men molest children! Porn viewing does not make men rape women. Porn viewing does not make men assault women. Men who do those things would do so even if porn never existed. It just so happens that a man who behaves like this probably has no moral issue with porn or most other immoral behaviors. Some porn users are good men who are struggling with purity while others are violent monsters who belong in the penitentiary.

However, If your guy is looking at porn, he is NOT ready for the Sacrament of marriage. Pray for him and let him know that this is not negotiable.

newsflash, they are linked in a complicated, complex, and sinful way. one doesn’t necessarily lead to another, no doubt, but the sin is such that it grows more evil all the time. you can’t blindly seperate the two.
