You assume that God can’t move someone from one time period to another. They weren’t glorified like Jesus and Mary (or could they have been?) so they have to have gone somewhere, not flying around for thousands of years.![]()

Well according to some highly mystical Jewish traditions, not actually biblical, Enoch was
taken to Heaven (is biblical), then became the angel Metatron, transforming into a fiery be-
ing, flesh like flames, bones like burning coal, eye’s like lightning, you know, not in a dem-
onic way. That’s extra-biblical though (III Enoch), kind of aside the question thus.
Yes, I believe that Enoch and Elijah were glorified, transformed, transfigured, somehow, no
idea what that would be like, what we’d expect to see, but if you’re in Heaven, or rather are
taken up into Heaven so that you don’t see physical death, I would expect that they were
glorified. Now where did they go? HEAVEN! Where is that? If anywhere in this universe,
I have no clue, otherwise I would say that it is no where in this whole cosmos.
I’m confused. Can you explain further? You assume that God can’t move someone from one time period to another.
I think maybe they are suggesting God has moved these 2 people to a kind of alternate dimension, where they are living in the times they were used to (biblical times).I’m confused. Can you explain further?
No one knows. I used to imagine that they were still walking around somewhere doing the Lord’s work. I imagine that God eased them into the afterlife and that he burried their bodies in some unknown place like he did Moses. Our bodies will not be glorified until after the general resurrection. Only Jesus and Mary have glorified bodies now.

So we’re allowed to think of them as dead an buried in an unknown place? No one knows. I used to imagine that they were still walking around somewhere doing the Lord’s work. I imagine that God eased them into the afterlife and that he burried their bodies in some unknown place like he did Moses.

Not at all.I think maybe they are suggesting God has moved these 2 people to a kind of alternate dimension, where they are living in the times they were used to (biblical times).
That’s certainly possible.Not at all.
I simply suggest they were transported to wherever within creation they are needed next.
Kind of like taking a book from a library shelf and moving it to another place.
Since God exists outside of time (and it is he that is moving the book in my analogy), I could readily see another place also encompassing time as well as location.
Anyone else?
“Henoch pleased God, and was translated into paradise, that he might give repentance to the nations.” Ecclesiasticus 44:16Anyone else?
“Henoch pleased God, and was translated into paradise, that he might give repentance to the nations.” Ecclesiasticus 44:16
This indicates he is in Paradise, not Heaven, the reward of the just. Perhaps he will give repentance to the nations by preaching in the future? If he comes back, he will be quite an interesting individual. Consider he will look different than us, and will be able to answer many peoples questions about the past! :bluelite:
His body is not glorified, since he has not died yet. Nor has he received his resurrected body, which is what I believe you are referring too.
- Was his body glorified?
- What/where is Paradise?
- If he wasn’t glorified, how could his body be there?
What’s Abraham’s bosom?Abraham’s bosom, you guys.
But of course God is also capable of making exceptions when He wants to so I wouldn’t completely discount the idea of them going straight to Heaven proper.
I cannot recall what saint prophesied that but I think they said that Enoch and Elijah are the two witnesses that the antichrist will kill. They are supposedly in a level of heaven called paradise.Well the answer about the two witnesses is very simple with the following statement from Saint John:
Therefore if Enoch and Elijah are not in heaven, therefore we do not have to worry about this theory that they are the two witnesses of ch. 11 of the Apocalypse!! Phew!!!
The two witnesses are coming from withing the Catholic Church, nothing extraordinary, just like Jesus was born from a woman. Yes a very special woman, His mother; yes a very special Church: His Church.
Why to attribute to Old Testament figures something prophesy by our Lord who is bringing all things new? Also if in ch. 11 of the Apocalypse says that God will give to them and they will prophesy for 360 days. Why God will need to give them power to prophesy? If they were Enoch and Elijah they have the power already!!
In the love of Christ,
Gloria
.
I am telling you why they are not. Because in the text is said that God will give to them (power) and they will prophesy for 1,260 days dress in sack. If the two witnesses were Enoch and Elijah, they already have power and God will not need to give to them anything. Why we always try to make things look unreal??? Was not Jesus a man?? Was not born from a woman?? Was not doing God’s will?? So why the two witnesses can not be two normal believers from his folk who have this call?? Why??I cannot recall what saint prophesied that but I think they said that Enoch and Elijah are the two witnesses that the antichrist will kill. They are supposedly in a level of heaven called paradise.
I think so, too.No one knows. I used to imagine that they were still walking around somewhere doing the Lord’s work. I imagine that God eased them into the afterlife and that he burried their bodies in some unknown place like he did Moses.
