Like a lot of people I have an enormous list of prayer intentions. I’ve heard that you can entrust these intentions to Mary’s Immaculate Heart. That’s what I did a year ago but I can’t find anything to support this practice. Should I be confident that our Blessed Mother will pray for all my intentions? Can anyone support, explain, and/or provide a history of this practice?

Luke 2:34-35 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, and a sword will pierce your own soul too, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed.”

This scripture jumped right out at me. Mary always leads to Jesus. Also, here is a link to EWTN’s comment on the subject:

Christ’s peace.

Yes, you can have every confidence in Mary and her Immaculate Heart…perhaps a thread into another Forum may draw more comments and explanations from the Catholic viewpoint re devotion to Mary and her Immaculate Heart - You could try one of these Forums: Spirituality, Traditional Catholicism or Apologetics…will be keeping you and your intentions in prayer…

Lord Jesus Christ,

I pray for andrewtm78 and anything in his relationship with You, Lord that he needs help with. Also, I pray for any help or understanding the Rosary, or understanding intercession by the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In The Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Andrewtm78,

In St. Louis de Montfort’s book *True Devotion to Mary *and *The Secret of Mary * he discusses Mary’s roll in salvation history and our lives. He recommends consecrating ourselves to Jesus through Mary understanding that all Mary receives she will give to her Son and all she gives us is in keeping with her Son’s will.

Praying for you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Praying to Mary for your list of intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary
Steve
