Episcopal Appointments for Archdiocese of Detroit

Today, the Holy Father announced joyous news, that our vice-rector Michael Byrnes has been named one of two new auxiliary bishops for the Archdiocese of Detroit! Bishop Michael Byrnes has served as vice-rector and dean of formation at Sacred Heart Major Seminary for the past 7 years, and we are happy to see him appointed to this position.
Also appointed today is Bishop Donald Hanchon, vicar of clergy, of Holy Redeemer parish.

Please join us in celebrating these two new successors of the Apostles, who I know will be great strong and holy shepherds of God’s holy Church.

Source: We were at the mass this morning which Archbishop Vigneron presided, as he introduced Bishop Byrnes, who immediately pulled his zuccheto out of his pocket and donned it, much to our surprise.

Hello everyone, I"m in need for a special prayer. I am 5 days away from losing everything I work hard for. I don’t know what has happen to my life but the chain of event that has taken place in my life and especially this year alone has been so devastating to me that it would be unbelievable to someone else. The only thing I still have to look forward to everyday is my job that I have work at for 22 years. I chose ro have bishop Michael Byrnes to pray with me either oline or by phone to give me some idea on how this pathway for me has turn so bad.
