Nowhere to be found in my parish, either. I received the eucharist there just this afternoon. I must admit that I’m not very fond of TEC’s leadership right now, but it hasn’t had much impact on my parish.

GH, they won’t sanction prostitution - they’re doing all they can to drive people AWAY.
 
As for TEC, have they changed their Book of Common Prayer to reflect same sex marriages? Have they extended the sacrament of Holy Matrimony as between a woman and woman or man and man as well?

These are the tradition that they held to for years … it seems like to me they will have to change these two things as they have described for years and as they have worshiped for years.

I mentioned back in 2004 on this very forum that I would not be surprised if the Book of Common Prayer gets changed to reflect same-sex marriages and I almost got banned for saying it. Hum…:rolleyes:

Seriously… why are people today still Episcopalians? I mean just the word itself sounds dumb. A name was changed when they got to America because we were at war with England (if that’s not why, then I don’t care why). I’d like to just be called “Catholic”.

As far as polls go every one of them is skewed and asked in regions that best supports its agenda to get the results it intends to get. Possibly, we’ll never know. I’m looking at this more from the angle that Rome’s leadership has not and will not ever give into this liberal agenda, regardless of people’s opinion about it. Rome stands by their convictions, which protects them from moral decay. The same can’t be said about TEC.

Some identify as Anglican or Anglo-Catholic, to distinguish from Roman Catholic. However, since Anglicans run the table in terms of their beliefs and practices, its hard to have on word to describe them all. Some Anglicans do not emphsize the Catholic side of their faith, and even emphsize the Protestant side more, such as low-Church Anglicans and Evangelical minded Anglicans. For these groups, Anglican should suffice. Episcopal makes me think of the liberal non-sense coming from TEC, so I am no longer using it to indentify the branch of Christianity to which I belong.

Baptists, Methodists, New Age mess, non-denominational, Episcopal, CATHOLIC! At some point I didn’t worry about labels and just started from the ground up…I just wanted to become a good Christian , so that’s my advice.

Oh, I forgot Presbyterian…
 
And don’t forget Serbo-Hungarian Orthodoxy! 😃

A motley crew, they be. I’m Anglican, no connection with Episcopalians at all.

I now roll TEC up in the same group that I put the UCC, ABC and PCUSA in and call them Liberal Protestants. I might even throw the Methodists in that group.

Tuscaloosa has a big Orthodox Church downtown, but I think its Greek, or maybe OCA, I’ll have to look it up again.

We’re up by one measly run and Ryan Howard is on base with no outs, man. And Sergio Romo just came in to relieve Lopez. I have lost my confidence in Romo. I hope he proves me wrong here! I feel a tying run coming on…😦
