With the exception of the ELCA Lutherans, some liberal groups like the United Church of Christ, and folks like the liberal Presbyterians, etc. the TEC is pretty far apart religiously and morally from most of Christendom period. They are certainly morally miles apart from the rest of the Anglican Communion and it is precisely that fact that has led to an implosion of disunity, mayhem, and chaos in the Anglican world. I don’t see the Catholic Church “forcing” religious views on anyone? Quite the contrary. There is a huge exodus of people from the Church of England and the Episcopal Church attendance numbers are pretty poor. I think they’re doing their own damage to themselves with the all-inclusive, liberal agenda they’ve imposed as well as the mass lawsuits. They’re undoing themselves without any other churches needing to do the leg work.
Choy,
I appreciate your (name removed by moderator)ut however while that’s the way it may work in the RC, its not the way it works in the Episcopal Church; another reason why the RC and TEC are so far apart in the religious world.
There are things that the RC does that we as Episcopal’s find dreadful and it keeps us far apart and most likely will for a long time. However, we won’t force our beliefs on you, nor do we expect you to force your beliefs upon us as well.
